Remember from the other posts that amps are a complete waste of time if you intend to hook them up to the HL boards. Not sure if this is your intent but thought I would save you the money if that is your intent.

i understand that the quality and subject of the prerecorded sounds are the same. i just want more volume and hopefully be able to hear my rccommand battle unit sounds.

Yep, it sounds like a good idea. I bought the amp and tried it. It was completely unworkable. Yes, you can get a higher volume but the hissing and cracking make it an unpleasant experience for the ears. I experimented for a day, used various suppression caps and other techniques to try to clean it up and later pulled it all out.
