Tiger down.......
Well, todayI got the CD Thunder 1 in the mail. It turned out after a while of trying to figure out why the volume is very low,I found that the board was shorted. No big deal. CD was great to deal with. they will bve sending another board out to me tomorrow. I have a question. Has anyone here built a box for a 3.5in. speaker for one of these cats with the aluminum hull? I am having a tough time tryign to figure out how to get all this stuff crammed into the hull. I saw the pics of Monotheist's Sherman and I am amazed how he set that tank up. I'm assuming I should have more room in a Tiger, right? Any help would be appreciated.thanks guys.

RE: Tiger down.......
Joe, the Asiatam hull has the upper deck release mechanism on it that even the Tamiya Tiger hulls dont have so that makes things even more troublesome. when i convert my Tiger too Tamiya electronics i'm going to build from scratch a speaker box that will clear that mechanism. A 3.5 speaker is VERY large for any of these tanks so with out seeing some pics it would be hard too suggest any alternative.. Call me dued. I want to hear the system when you get it operational.

RE: Tiger down.......
Well, today I built a template box to see hat i cvan get away with. I made this one with the 2 2" speakers wired in series. The box workedd out well and I have found a few ways to make some more space in this hull. Persistence is key. I believe the speaker that is on it's way to me is going to just clear in the box i'm going to build for it. I havebeen using the 3 7.2v battery apcks I have to find a way to fit everything....howver I ordered 2 9.6 v packs today which are much smaller in every way over these. No doubt it is a project to get this thing in, but one way or the other it is going in. I will try to post soem pics...I didn't take any yet because I was focused on the task at hand. Thanks for the interest though.
