RE: MY
Hmm, looks like the HL Pantiger was an actual prototype :D
Looks good! |
RE: MY
Nice job Hal!
Something about your "What If?" tank is quite appealing and looks probable. I really like that you went outside the "box" which isn't common among the forums. I'd love to see more "what if" tanks in the future or even made up tanks all together (something I intend to do in the future.) Keeper comin Hal! |

Well done, Hal! Nice combination of parts on a could have been tank. I like the night vision too! Nice touch, and well within possibility if the war had lasted another 3 months.

RE: MY

Keep up the great work!! Love that Tiger 1 paint job. |

Hi Guys,
my attempt to make BefelsPanther - "Barbara". Not finished yet... |
RE: MY
Hey Hal!<div></div><div>Nice looking Befel!</div><div>I read the turret was likely welded to the hull of the panther since it's unlikelythe turret couldn't be a swap and drop for it's size comparison to the pather turret. Have you read anything that says the turret "can" traverse?</div>

Have you read anything that says the turret "can" rotate?</div> somesay that the turret was rotating, but they had not the actual gun - there was a wooden stick installed. I have requested Kubinka museum to get the info from BundesArchive. there are two welknown photos of these 2 "beasts" that took part in Kursk battle. + there was a defending shrutsen around the turret. Some info is here <span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif""><font color="#0000ff">http://66.102.9.132/search?q=cache:HeQp6ZA1kZYJ:forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D50%26t%3D149381+when+BEFEHLSPA NTHER+was+used&cd=1&hl=ru&ct=clnk& gl=ru</font></span> and some photos also</p> |
RE: MY
And you will notice the rather rare photo on the front SSyms car of the Porsche Tiger.
|
RE: MY
as far as i know there were two BefelsPanther (but i can be mistaken) + 1 Tiger Porsche (as the commanders tank)... quite awesome photo...</p> |
RE: MY
There was one command Porsche Tiger, and one Porsche Bergtiger. I will try to scan some photos on the book and post them of both the command Tiger and the Bergtiger.
|
RE: MY
Sev, what about BefelsPanther? any other photos?</p> |
RE: MY
I don't have any other photos of the BefelsPanther. I missed a grand book on both the Panther and KV a few days ago. Both sold just minutes before I arrived at the book shop. Of course, here they have no concept of 'order' a book for you.

Hal,
Great looking tank. You may have given me reason to finish my Pantiger rebuild and use the turret from a non S and S PZ IV that I have. I have always wanted to finish the Pantiger, but having a Panther G made it a mote point. You have restooked the fires my friend thanks and thanks for sharing. Hope you don't mind if I copy your tank? Jim |

Verdict - all electronics will be changed to Tamiya. |

RE: MY
Where are the Russian tanks? :D The T-34's, KV-1/2/85's, IS-2/3, SU-85/100/122/152's and all the rest? Your nation produced alot of great tanks and I hope we'll see more of them. ;)
