a few more of the Ardennes Peiper Kampfgrouppe King Tiger Henshell. I don't use turretnumbers, there is alwaays an endless discussion on modelmeeting of the colors of the letters and colorrings around the letters fot the turrets used in the Battle Of the Bulge armor. For a few the real colors a not sertain, only black and white pics were aviable a few

I wants pour opinion on my ardennes KT its all scratch except the kit lol, yes i know foto etch looks neat but this don't break, drive it in water, bushes nothing loose anyway , and is also to scale

RE: My 3 KT's

This model my second ready costed 120 hours, most of the hours were spend in scratch details and heavy battledamage seems easy but it is refering on pics saw on the internet ... looks used thats what i would archieved a battled Ardennes Offensive tank from the Kampfgrouppe SS Peiper, my second king tiger La Gleize will be far more better in detailing ... so please let me know what i can aprove, what you find of it, thanks in advance
This summer i give my porsche KT a new three tone colorscheme, i will posted when i started with it

Karl, You have done a very good job on your models and as you say the discussions of the turret numbers are vast and not all with any depth of authority go with what you feel is best or try various colours and turn your camera to black and white pictures this helps a lot

yes that can be right, i was talking to a guy in the La Gleize museum this year he gave me a few thoughts for the KT outside, this will have turretnumbers he was there could give the correct colors for the Dollinger KT from the Peiper SwPza SSKampfgrouppe

The La Gleize KT had an early Saukopf the ardennes one of me had a Newer rouned one, you can easily see the difference

thank you guy's for your opinion for me its the outside wich counts, i ride little lately with my tanks, there is so much to do with scratchdetailing it gives a satesfying feeling when you see the finished model

Beautiful work KAREL47! I am not familiar with the KT's, but it looks like you added welding and a who lot of extras indeed! Ardennes is one of my favourite time periods for military history too! Awesom and thanks for sharing. - Harvey

RE: My 3 KT's

Thanks harvey, yes the ardennes offensive was a very rumblin' and intensive war period but gives us so much material to work with.
For a instance the scratches from ride through houses and half walls ar waiting to get sculpted into the body of your panzer, also the different kind of amunition with hits the tanks in battle are good and easy ways to get a very battled result and looks even better onto our models. For weathering a must do project no limits just foto's and a good interpretation of the real damage done by the different size of amunition effect to the pantsersteel
