You were lucky that you got to use yours. My radio came broken (tossed it out with the other stuff) so if anyone needs a new board/crystal w/speaker contact me. I got forced to use Tamiya in mine. :D

I'll take it if you pay postage and throw an extra $5.00 into it for taking it of your hands.:D. Experiment with it. Maybe you can make good with it for something other than landfill.

After trying every thing i can think of i got about 25 ft if you hold your mouth rite. Using a 66cm wire and hot glue stick it did double the range but it still is not evin close to henglong.

Hi Cheap,

I'm sure you replaced the tx bateries with fresh ones....but also check the battery wirting for cleanliness and bad connections or soldering. Try a different set of cyrstals. and make sure the TX is wired to the ant. inside the radio.
Good luck, Bob

I have looked at both sides of the tx board and found no bad conections and new batteries. The antenna wire was pulled lose from the rec board but i solderd it back. Will henglong or matorro xtals work with this?

Just another mato xtal and rec bord it had to be one or the other because it now works fine.

RE: three yard range

I found a way to get half decent range by adding 10 feet of coiled wire in the tank and also in the transmitter.(20 feet of extra wire!)
I wonder if anyone has ever had to add wire to a transmitter??[&:]

Shoot, mine came with the antenna wire ripped clean off the board. I never even once got to run it. Phil did send me all new boards free but I gutted the thing already for one typr of conversion or other. I'm thinking HL/DBC

I have had exceptional range with mine. Stock out of the box. No issues yet with this tank and it's been put through a lot.
