TIGER 313
 

I have not said much of late about TIGER 313. It is in the final adjusting stages and we will have some great video very soon. I'm talking a real life story line, and great action shots, explosions and the works.

Now as the working Tank Commanders. After mush trial and error...more error. I found the solution to the question of space in the turret for the motor that drives the little guy. I use a seperate HL Matto turret drive motor and gears.

The geat that drives the turret ring iscut so oly one tooth of the gear remains. The center is drilled to recieve a bit of brass tube that extends into the hatch and the drive rod for the Tank Commander sits inthe tube and provides the rotation to make him move.

On the base of the turret motor, Tactile button switches have replaced the reed switches. As the gear turns the tooth on the gear contacts the tactile switch and casues the circuit to reverse. When it has travled back another switch is activated which stops the motor.

Room is very tight but it is working. I did have to sacrafice some depression in the main gun, but heck it was worth it.

Pictures and video coming very soon. I really scratched the painted barrel and want to give it a new pain job, and a few other lttle odd and ends.

For those of you thinking of using the flash from a disposable camera...DO IT! This thing works great. I will indeed use it in all my builds and will retro-fit all my Tigers with it.
