RE: Dan's panther
I like it. Now see! If HL had made this Panther instead of that poor excuse for a I dont know what first i would probably own 6 of these by now and never would have bought a Tamiya. No regrets though my Tamy is AWESOME but this is IMO one of HL's finest moments.

RE: Dan's panther
i was suprised by the quality,no it's not as good as my tamiya's,but this is a very smooth running tank.
|
RE: Dan's panther
Very nice! I think that's the first time I realized how long that barrel is, that first pic puts it in perspective. Maybe I'm getting to used to seeing the snubbed barrels of my KV and PIII, although my tiger has a long barrel.....nothing like that. Sheesh! Nice work nonetheless!

RE: Dan's panther
thanks,i greased the turret ring,gearboxes,wheels,lighned up the swing arms with washers,did a quik paintjob,and she's a runner!

RE: Dan's panther
Look good Brother!
When can you come down to Charleston for a fun run? Don |
RE: Dan's panther
the closest i can get to charleston is myrtle beach,ha ha.i would like to if finances would permit.
|
RE: Dan's panther
please take note that the last picture showing the rear of the tank.the rear deck does not sit flush with the rear panel, that is because i have removed the screws. When completly screwed down the rear deck does sit flush with the rear panel.

Hi all,
I've got to agree that the HL panther is their best to date! Here's a pic of mine, I used the jagdpanther exhausts just to make it a little different. Frank |

RE: Dan's panther
Fynsdad that is ont TOP RATE fine paint jobn on that Panther. I will have to get me one now. IR version of course. Once you have barrel recoil there's just no turning back. Too all you guys keep up the good work.

RE: Dan's panther
Hit that thing with a light dusting of Tamiya Buff and it will soften all those colors, Shade all the lines with a dork gray or light black first to hight light the angles and corners and you will be suprised of how good it will look.

RE: Dan's panther
Those are somegreat Panthers!
How did you do the numbering on the track links? Don |
RE: Dan's panther
Hi Don,
The numbers on the track links is good old fashioned paintbrush, time and a lot of swearing:D Frank |

RE: Dan's panther
ORIGINAL: stcla1r more cool stuff The panther looks great. You are so close to Danville VA. Why don't you bring your tank to Danville next week. I will loan you one of my Tamiya IR tanks if you can drive it safely. It is just 55 miles or so north of Greensboro. Come for the day or the whole weekend. Hotels here are as low as $45 a night. Here is a link form the April event at the AAF Tank Museum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvqQYYMAYKk I'll send you a PM. Bob, NEAD CO |
