Thought I'd share that the Hobby Engine Leopard in on ebay, not listed as a 1/16 but the seller hasclarifiedthat it is the 1/16 scale tank. Didn't you just get a Tamiya Leopard Big T? Why are you looking for the cheaper model?

Well, I was actually searching for the Abrams, but the only place I know of to have it stateside is out of stock as well as the leo. Then I found these on ebay, which now has been corrected by the seller after informing him that there isn't any listing of it's scale. But now I have this bright idea to use this for testing purposes. Maybe have a chance to build the slat armor before the Tamiya build is done, then turn this into a fantasy tank there after. <div>

It is like a toy....but so is Heng long, lol. From what I understand, this is a very good base that can be up converted using what ever electronics you want and with the proper modifications, use metal or the tamiya leopard tracks. But out of the box, like any other budget tank....it's a childish toy.

after reworking it the toy look would gone for ever an ensure you that crocodile, add more detail and better electro you can get it real good, lots of aftermarked parts just as HL looks also toyisch

It really does not need metal tracks, By far the Stock Tamiya LEO tracks are the best on the market for non metal tracks. You would have to fab and scratch build return rollers if you used metal tracks as these tanks do not have return rollers. But they work great with my suggested mods. Talk to Phil.
