Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Against my better judgement, I bought a couple of sets of the metal tracks from Raidentech last Spring. Now that I go to use them, I found that they are two to three links less than what is needed, and of course they did not come with spare links. I've sent two emails to Raidentech's support and to sales departments with no reply in several days time. BIG FRIGGING SURPRISE! I should have had my head examined for dealing with those shysters again....
OF course, I also contacted Mato Toys, and they are willing to sell me replacement links and of course got back to me within 24 hours. Obviously, Raidentech's "too good to be true" deals usually are..... BEWARE! And, yeah....I know that a select few on this forum have dealt with them "for years" with "no issues".... Don't CARE! This happened to me, and I have posted it as a warning to others. A company is not measured by the sales that go without a hitch, but how they treat the sales that have problems..... |
RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Sorry you've had issues and whether you care or not, cause I don't care that you do care, I haven't had issue getting matters resolved. lol<div></div><div>Have you tried to call or post herehttp://www.rcdiscuss.com/index.php/board,112.0.html</div><div>That's where I have the mostsuccessgetting issues resolved. But I agree, the tracks I bought from them, while the price is great. You do get what you paid for as they aren't the upgrade track kits that can be purchased with metal sprockets, idlers, and spare tracks. I think they're just spare tracks taken directly off of tanks that either have been returned or in house spare repair tanks meant for people who need to repair their tanks, not upgrade them since they don't come with the necessary stuff to upgrade them.</div><div></div><div>Anyway, good luck and thanks for the warning. I'll make sure to check my items well with in their warranty period from now on.</div>

RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
I wouldn't order from them, they are trying to run too lean an operation, when I had 2 unresolved issues in 2 orders that was it. Every raiden order was a problem and every mato order was no problem. I'd probably give some of the other guys selling a try if they have gotten good reviews here, bad customer service is a deal breaker for me.

They are not open before I go to work, and are closed before I get home. Besides, I've tried their chat and found it lacking in anything other than lies and nebulous answers that do not solve anything. Believe me, I'd love to deal with Raidentech if I didn't get burned every time.... and being in Canada may have something to do with it - I don't think they are as bad to the far larger US market. I guess it always goes to "Buyer Beware!" |

I guess it always goes to "Buyer Beware!" I do sympathize with you. But theunfortunateaspect of it is that their customer service isn't the greatest. I can't deny that. There's very little personable information/relation going on and they rarely do make exceptions to what everguidelinesthey have. To compound things, you've only recently realized that these tracks won't work for you.....making the window ofopportunityto have matters resolved next to impossible even if you did get good communications after the fact. I don't don't think any retailer would honor a product purchased last spring. For some, the extra cost to deal elsewhere is worth it. I of course share a different perspective, because the savings are far too great. It is a gamble, but I'm a gambling man. lol For instance.....I could pay plus $200 for a tank elsewhere and be settled with the fact of knowing that just encase there are problems......I can rely on good customer service to help me andhopefullyhonor their warranty. On the other hand, I can take a gamble that a tank I purchase won't have any problems or one I can't fix and reap the savings. If I do end up having problems, I could fix it with parts purchased elsewhere making the savings slightly beneficial or an absolute wash. That's just the risk I'm willing to take. I don't suggest this for a newbie or one not willing to go through the trouble of self fix. But either way, I feel it's beneficial for me to save as much so I can gain more in the long run.....I want too many tanks! lol Anyway, I'm glad Mato is there to help with problems. I'm glad many of the upgrade and parts vendors are there to help,...they make the ease of purchasing parts for possible faults from Raiden easier. <br type="_moz" /> |
RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
The way to fix your problem with the short tracks is to cut your tank in half and cut off one half inch from one of the two halves and glue it back togeather. Now the tracks will fit.We all thank you for the warning.
BIGMIG  P.S. Was wondering why you being a canadian would order a set of tracks from Raidentech that sells here in the U.S. for $40.00 when you could have ordered a set from Mato for $109.00 dollars and they send a couple of extra links with their sets.?? |

RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
If you want results, do as BiggTony suggested and go to rcdiscuss. Thats where they take care of problems. I'm one of the people who've dealt with them for years with no problems. I also had good luck with Matomart. Unfortunately, their shipping can be steep to the U.S.. On the other hand, I've had very bad luck with the two U.S. vendors who are so highly praised on this forum. I paid $180 for a new tank and got a used POS that never has worked. I've since given up on RC tanks due to a lack of reliable parts sources. I run them occasionaly, but when they break, they're trash.

RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Hello All,
I have purchased two tanks from the tech guys. My error was I bought a PZ3 with metal upgrades and lights. It was the two speed model and was missing one of the speeds. Looking closer I found if I had bought the tank fro ten dollars more it was the later version. The support team would have exchanged it but they had a mule tied up outside and it shipped two hours after I bought it. lol Instead of shipping it I stripped it and put in what I needed from tankwars. HTe other tank was a dead Bulldog and I did return it. It was free shipping and I got refund in about two weeks. THe tech was cool about it all and did help me out. I suspect it was the Winstons he was smkong.lol Just a guess. I will buy from them to get a hull as it is almost no difference in buying a whole tank instead of getting a darn hull from anyone. I am looking now at a KV1 perhaps and just building it slowly till I get it the way I want. At first I thought it was the ugliest tank I have ever seen but Big Tony and others praise it so I am gonna try one. I too have bought tracks from them (plastic) and they were different lengths. lol MAy have to buy another tank to get one that fits. Be well, David |
RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
I have only bought one tank from them(myfirst tank)and all was good...There was free shipping and the price was good(I bought a KV-1 with metal upgrades)...I may have been one of the lucky ones I don't know but my point is this...I have always found in dealing with companies big and small that the best thing to do if you can(I understand dmon that you can't) is to call instead of email...in most cases you can talk to an actual person and it helps get things solved...now I haven't had to deal with raidentech customer service yet so I don't know how it is...I just wanted to get my 2 cents worth in...I will say this though the online chat is bad and they don't know what they are talking about becauseI asked if they had free shipping and I was told they didn't...turns out they did...</p> |

Thats pretty cool isn't it..............;);) Don't you wish you had thought of that.?? One of a kind that you can't buy off the shelf.Glad to see you have a picture of it,most likely you have posted it on another web site and claimed you came up with the idea and and built
it.Why not try building something instead of just hanging around like a batt in a belfrey............you are allways lurking in the shadows waiting to uleash your new-york attitude when ever you think you can try to take a cheap-shot at someone.98 percent of the time it back-fires on you.:D:D BIGMIG;) |

You realy need to get a hobby.;) |
RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Well, Mato to the rescue. For under $15 CDN including shipping, they are sending me 12 links so I should be good to go once they arrive. Still have not heard from Raidentech, but that was to be expected....and to be honest, after 5 months I would not expect them to do anything for me. But it would have been nice to actually get a reply.
Mig, GROW UP! If you continue to verbally abuse everyone on this forum you will end up get kicked off this forum like you were the RCTankWarefare site. Or worse, you will piss off the wrong guy and you will get reminded of your manners in some parking lot after a tank meet. You were annoying and abusive last time I posted about lousy treatment from Raidentech and I expected you would do it again but to berate other posters on the thread is just juvenile. And your sarcastic comment about why I would try ordering from Raidentech for $40 instead of from Mato (a complete kit including metal drive wheels and such) for $100, well that can be chalked up to my forgiving nature. Either that or I am too stupid to learn when ripped off once by a seller.... Either way, I tried Raidentech again and got rooked again. My bad.... And I posted my experience on this forum to warn others. If you or anyone else wants to order tracks or anything else from them, go ahead. It's your choice. If it works out for you, that's great for you. As has been shown in this thread, different people have different experiences. As CheapTank posted, Mato is not perfect, and he got hosed by them.... but I won't give him a hard time for saying so. I've done ok with Mato, so I like them. Every time I've dealt with Raidentech I've come out unhappy. That is my experience- don't give me a hard time because of it. I'm just here to enjoy tanking.... |
RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Well I like to think this is a place to have fun and at the same time mabe try and help the new guys who come on the forum to do the same. One of my big goals here has been to try and pass along any info as to where there is the best buy on tanks and where one can get the best bang for their buck.In reality it realy don't make any difference to me "where" a member here goes to buy their tanks.( i don't get 10 crnts from any vendor i list-and do not get any favor's from them....and pay the same as anyone else who buys from them).Very simple.....If I can help save a member money,i'm going to do my best in that reguard.
Now when I see someone write a post "beware of Raidentech" relating to some tracks that was ordered months ago and he is just now finding out for one reason or other the tracks are a couple of links short and you say they are a rip-off because of this.....This is just not right.!!! On top of the fact that you could not have bought these anywhere else for the price you paid. Now I'm sorry your tracks were to short..........but thats as far as it goes. You live in Canada and what gets me the most is the fact that there is no place there that you can even compair to Raidentech to tank prices and their "free shipping"..............Now if i'm wrong....please list it or them for all the members to use. Now if you want to post something about me good or bad that is fine. But get your "facts" right when you do so because i do read most of all the posts and don't care much for someone writing something about me that is "not true." Now please explain to me what "Forum was I Kicked off of".I have been a member of (3) forums....RCU for over three years....Hobby Havoc for several months (was there and left...then went back again for a while) and the allmost dead RCtankwarfare which i was a member for over a year or so and left on my own accord. So what it is now is none of my doing as it died after I left. That is their problem not mine. Now the so called member you refer to as me being a nasty person towards has gone way out of his way many times to in one way or other to try and show me in a negative way for what reason who knows. But being the age that I am and not just falling of a watermellon truck i'm not apt to just set here and take it. Now you have been here long enough to know and see what goes on here at times. If you can't figure it out I'm not going to explain it any farther.end of story.;) BIGMIG |

RE: Beware RAIDENTECH!!! (yet again)
Wait till I get my KV1 I will show you a build thread. I may get the metal version to get the tracks it looks big enough to get my stubby hands in it. I will go to Raid to save as much as I can right out if the gate. I need something I do not have to rebuild before using. I hope it has a good gun. They cannot mess up a hull and tracks if they are already on the tank right? right? lol
Then my first Tamiya. Film at 11 Be well all. David |
