I was wondering if I could switch out the front shock tower on my 8ight-t 2.0 with a front shock tower on a 8ight-t 1.0?????? I know that the rear shock tower is taller and also has the different body mounting holes.
The reason I want to do this is because I have an extra front tower from a 1.0 race roller and I am really not a big fan of the red anodizing on the 2.0rtr. The 2.0 rtr shock towers also look a little cheaper than the ones on my 1.0 race roller. I guess I just don't want to spend 50-60 bucks when I could use a 1.0 tower on the front and just buy a 2.0 tower for the back.

If you already have the shock tower, why don't you just stick it on there and see if it fits? It probably does. But I do believe the front shocks on the 2.0 are longer than the shocks on the 1.0. But again, if you have both sitting there, you can fiddle with it and find out for yourself.

K_B good point. I really just couldn't find the time. However, today I did find some extra time to throw on the 1.0 race roller tower. I like it much better than the 2.0 rtr shock tower. I have more shock mounting options and it looks a lot better. I didn't need to modify anything, but the body posts are a little narrower so I will have to ream the holes in the body.
