Are you gonna race? If not, I highly recommend the Losi Ten T. The thing rips and is pretty bullet proof. Heck, the radio is worth half the cost by itself, a Spektrum DX3S. Full telemetry and remote starting from the radio. This is one bad ass truggy. Most fun nitro I ever owned.

well i have a track that i built in my back yard so i plan to use this truggy to race both there and at the local track. I was looking at the ten-t but i wasnt very excited about having a 1/10th scale, but your right, the spektrum is the a huge reason I wanted it, but I already have a spektrum controller so thats not too big of a problem.

Not sure, but it's been on their site for a while. Free shipping, IIRC. Gotta add motor/wheels/tires and such though, so I'm not sure if better deals exist for what you want. But it is a nice truggy (I run a BL electric conversion in mine).
