Default Losi 8T 2.0 Losi 454

Hello,

I have been out of RC cars for a while. I picked up a used losi 8T 2.0 with a stock losi 454. I need extra medium glow plugs. Which do you recommend? I am using 30%.

Thank you

Well, I have never run %30 fuel, but with %25 I like OS A5(now called #10), which is a cold plug, best. They tend to make the idle a bit more erratic - so you have to blip it to keep it running. But with the colder plug the engine makes more power and runs cooler. I personally don't like a #8 in these SH engines(LRP, 454, Big Red, Mach, etc..), which is the medium plug. The idle is a bit better, but it kills top-end IMO.

I did recently try the Odonnell purple standard plug - which are or were really cheap at Amain, and so far I like what I see. So my advice would be get 2-3 Odonnel purples at Amain, and maybe a couple OS A5's to test for yourself.

If for whatever reason you can't get those, lots of people seem to also like McCoy plugs... I haven't tried them in a few years, but I don't remember being thrilled with them..
