Hello all, I bought a used Ten-T Truggy without a radio or reciever, and I was wondering if the Spektrum DX3S is the only radio you can use with it. The way it looks, to get all the telemetry you need this radio, but to just start it remotely you can use other radios. It would be nice to have all the telemetry, or at least the remote start and temperature reading, but the price may have me doing otherwise. Thanks for any info!

The FS-IT4 gives you all those features (The GT3C and GT3B also give you all the features you need, except telemetry). No radio has remote nitro start built in, you would have to use the third channel to accomplish that somehow.
If you wish to use the existing receiver you will need a Spektrum remote, but considering that extra receivers for the flysky are 8 bucks a pop, it hardly seems worth it to stick with spektrum technology for the sake of the receiver.
