well, this is probably a topic that has come up in the past, but many have their own opinions, so i will state my own, as far as engines, i like the novarossi/rex P5, its not too much and it definately doesnt have too little, its also smooth and dead easy to tune.. and as far as servos go..its also debatable..i used my Airtronics 94358 for my past three races..it has worked great for me so far..

some people like the V-spec, and some people have had nightmares with the V-spec..i have yet to hear anything negative about the P5..

as far as servos go..there is a bunch to choose from that will work great.

hope that helps.

Well I run the Vspec and its been great. Good fuel economy. Lots and lots of low end power. Easy to tune. Very usable powerband. Ect ect...

i agree as i have a crt being built with a novarossi p421b in it (8 port 21, not the p5) but its a rex
as servos are i have the hitec 5997tg i think it is rated at 180 give or two oz torque
and for throttle i have a hitec ultra digital high speed servo (not sure which specific one) btw, i have not tried out any of these yet but i put the steering servo in my buggy and its qiuete impressive over the jr 590 model
i suggest for motors go between nova, nova rex, rb etc
for servos (my opinion) hitec because i think there the company that has a 5 year warrenty on them so thats a huge plus. ill always go hitec
amainhobbies has good prices and a big selection, i ordered all my stuff from them and it was outstanding service. i ordered something wrong (my fault) and i called them, the call was no more than 5 minutes, very respnsive, polit, etc.. so i sent it back. good lucks

If money is no object, I would run the Novarossi .28 8 port and airtronics 94359 alum heat sink servo's. The motor is all you will ever need and the servo's put out 200 oz of torque.

yea or find a nice hitec (they have a big warrenty!) and i hear that airtronics break easily and repairs are costly

.21 is the most common size for truggys, most people that have .21 or bigger usually end up going back to a .21 anything bigger just has too much power, and is uncontrolable.

Try this diff combo

15F/30C/5R if you're gonna run a .28

Having said that, you need to learn what your driving style is and what you're trying to make the truck do

steering: Kopropo PDS 2344FET, 13KG, 0.11

Throttle/brake: Sanwa WRX super high speed, 8KG, 0.07

engine: Novarossi 528XR

I use those diff configuration, on our LHS track: 7f/10c/10r
