Default lightning pro rtr vs. hellfire

Im looking into buying a new truggy and i want to get into racing. I had a warhead and every time i run it something breaks. I want a durable and good truggy out of the box. Let me know what you think...

I have them both and an ST-R.

IMO, the LSP-R is a much easier to drive truggy. It handles better than the Hellfire, and much easier to tune. My buddies and I could not get the Hellfire to handle the way we wanted it to. While the LSP-R anyone of us could pick up the remote and drive it with very little tweaks.

Do you know how durable the hellfire is im leaning more towards the Hellfire. I like the LSP but the hellfire seem to go that extra lil bit with the engine and all of the adjustments. Thanks for your help.[8D]

The Hellfire is okay as far as durability. You need to locktite the set screws on the front and rear drive shafts at the diffs. You need locktite or do something to the CVD pins or they fall out.

Some people have had some problems with the A-arms breaking. I've not had that issue.

Even though the Hellfire comes with an engine and is RTR. Believe me all that stuff doesn't mean jack when you are struggling on the racetrack. Even some diehard Hellfire fans will admit that tuning the Hellfire is still a bit difficult......

i have a LSP rtr and i love it. all i use it for is racing. the stock engine is not a very performance engine but give the engine a chance. i put a pipe in my engine stock engine and it really woke it up. i can easily keep up with the guys that have the picco P7-R and i think my engine might even be a little better then the picco engines. also i have done a little work to the sleeve which also helped out on the top end. as fare a durability it is pretty strong, all i have broken it the front bumper and the suspension hold. also the electronics the hellfire are exactly same as the LSP electronics but they just have different company stickers on them.

To make it a fair comparison, you might wait until the Hellfire SS hits.
