RE: Offical Mugen MBX5T thread
the cups looks great but arent really needed when the motor is spinning at WOT and the shafts r turing the alumium cups get real heavy real quick, unless ur run thick thick oil i wouldnt it but thats just me, i would like to get one tho for my center diff since i use 15K in ths center and that might put stress on the plastic diff cup but in 6 months the diff cups still look the same

PS has anyone dropped big bore shocks on there mugen??? any comment on that just wondering i found these and thought they where intesting, ive bein looknig at the kyosho ST-RR shocks but the price tag isnt so nice right now

there are strong debates between big bores and stock shocks...buying after market shocks for a mugen is like mind boggling considering the Mugen shocks are like one of the best you can find hands down, i say setup and tire selection plays more of a roll on performance than big bores. save your money and buy some fuel and tires and drive your mugen till the wheels fall off.

I couldn't agree more. Just put fuel and go. The damn truck is so much fun. I find the one thing about this hobby is there are a lot of after market parts for almost everything. Everyone wants to sell something because they know there will always be someone out there to buy it. They will sell you on how durable the product is, or how much faster it will make you. I say, if you're going to race see how fast you can go around a track. Measure yourself to a pro with out the "upgrades" your looking to buy. If you can match his time, then you might consider yourself a very good driver and maybe that part may put you over the edge. But, you have to see how far that edge is before you can jump. Why would you need to spend endless amount of money on somethings the "MIGHT" make you better or faster. Unless you're like me and just want the piece because it's there. [sm=lol.gif]

Looking to pick up some servos for the new build. Anyone know the minimum torque and speed for steering and throttle/brake? I'd like to have a better idea of what servos to look at. Thanks

I use a JR 9000T for steering and a JR 650 for T/B. They work great. I'll eventually go with a digital T/B servo though, instead of the analog 650.

Well, here it is. I finally got my new chassis. I don't know how it runs, and won't know until all this damn snow goes away and gets a lot warmer. But damn, it looks good again. I wish it would always stay this clean.

Some drivers included myseelf, are having hard time with the servo saver (on a MBX5T and MBX5-R) there are some stripped servos and does anyone know if there is a upgrade from another brand?? like a Fioroni saver for the 5T... (I already have a Prospec and a fioroni saver, NEVER have problems)

RE: Offical Mugen MBX5T thread
I strongly suggest all you racer types visit truggyracers.com for the absolute best information you can obtain on the MBX5T about what works best from parts to setups. This is THE best place to go for up to date information on what works best no matter what truggy you own. Most of the top racers from around the world hang out there. This forum here is fine for amateurs but if you want to get to the winner's circle then truggyracers.com is where you need to be. Various 3rd party manufacturers have their own forum there. You can communicate directly with them about their products. Some also have their products available at amainhobbies.com.
Truggyracers.com is one site you don't want to miss if you're serious about racing.
