Default All Truggies to know

Hey

I thought i was right buying a t-maxx 3.3 for our home made track here. I was right until now, cause I want something more aggressive like a truggy powered by .21 engine.

Can you help me to find the proper truggy out there that will suit me ?
I want to know EVERY truggies out there.

List :
-Hpi Hellfire
-Hpi Hellfire SS ( To come in near future )
-Ofna RTR Truggy ( x1 crt rtr )
-Ofna Truggy Kit ( x1 crt kit )
-Mugen seiki conversion + mbx-5
-Mugen seiki truggy kit (to come in near future)
-Kyosho ST-R kit
-Hot Bodies 1/8 Lightning Stadium Pro-R ARR
-Hot Bodies 1/8 Lightning Stadium RR RTR
-Hot Bodies 1/8 Lightning Stadium Pro RTR
-Thunder Tiger 1/8 ST-1 Nitro Stadium Truck RTR
P.S.
-GS Storm SUT CE

I want full hop-up ready, I want to be serious driver with this new truggy.

I will buy the spektrum dx2 and spektrum telemetry following by titanium - digital - coreless servos

Next engine I was thinking about Ofna Hyper .21 8-Port Race Engine Rear Exhaust ( and send it to tnt mod or eb mods )
Or do you have an engine to recommend me, I want .21 (.21 to .25) <<I think over .26+ is nothing more than overpowered and useless to my needs.>>

For sure theses 3 fully interest me.

1- Mugen Truggy kit(to come in near future)
2-Kyosho st-r
then
3-Ofna x1-crt kit

Same... the ST-R is supposed to be 'the best' but it is very expensive. You forgot to add the GS SUT Championship Edition

I have a CRT, and have read lots of debates about the CRT vs the ST-R. Whether or not the Kyosho is more money depends on where you buy it, but one of the main factors you should consider (since really, the $$ difference works out to about $50 in total, as far as I can see through the online outlets) is what your LHS stocks parts for. What can you pick up at the track if something breaks?

I've also been hearing some really good things about the Hot Bodies LSP. In testing, these things have kept up with and beaten the ST-Rs and the CRTs, as well as other truggies. For the price, it seems like a steal.

I'd go Kyosho if I were going hard core, but some folks don't find great Kyosho support, and since the CRT ain't no slouch, many drivers opr for that.

Between Ofna x1-crt Kit and Gs Storm SUT CE. Which one is better ?
I will still swap engine and get dx2 radio + telemetry if I get SUT CE.

Handling and toughness which one win, then for overall of theses 2, which win ?

Jammin X1 CRT Pro Kit vs GS SUT ????

Jammin crt pro kit - hands down.

Interesting to see all the other folks in this thread under the perception that Kyosho is just plain more expensive than the others. Guess I wasnt the only one in the uS after all?

Currently, there is a rash of peeps blasting thru their front diff pinion gears on the kyosho st-r.... whether its all user error or a design issue or a minor fix from the factory - its been a problem. Good truck maybe worth waiting till it gets sorted out before dropping your cash.

I'd say its between .. Jammin CRT - PRO kit [not the rtr] - Kyosho ST-R .. and of course the Tazer PRT :-)

Tazer PRT :

Go with the ST-R. If you want a reliable hardcore racing truck, Kyosho has got what you want. I have had no issues or ever had a part break and for support, just give them a call. They are awsome they and they will hook you up with the parts too. My ST-R has definatly made me a better driver, The first race I went to with it there was a bunch of the Jammin canadaian team drivers there and I was beating them. It handles any type of track you want it to, I never even touched the setup and it felt like it was perfectly dialed.

There are a few truggies missing from your list. There is the XTM Mammoth St, Ofna Mutilator, the CEN Matrix (soon) and the Sportswerks Mayhem truggy. There is also a conversion kit for the Xray XB8 buggy.
I am not saying that any of the trucks I have mentioned are any better than the Kyosho but I just thought that the Mayhem was at least worth considering.

same platform but just made with way cheaper parts. It wil probably bel just as strong but it won't fully perform like the ST-R. But if you really like it just move up to the ST-R. The ST-R comes with a milled chassis, different arms, shocks, and probably shock towers. All of the hop ups are availible though.

i agree, you can get the STR for 640 shipped here in the USA..its one of the best truggy's on the market as of right now..

if you dont want to spend 600 dollars, then i say buy the LSP-R..for 405 dollars you cant beat it...both are awesome JMHO.

he doesnt update his site frequently since he attends races so frequently and when hes not at a race..he is busy selling his product. you have to give him a call, he usually has some in stock and if not, he can have it ordered and to your pad within a week

when i ordered my P5X, he didnt have it in stock, but he had another order come in and was at my pad within a week. i personally wouldnt go anywhere else, UNLESS the other advertised prices were within the same price range as rcbuggyshop..

talking about motors..i need to buy a new one here soon..lol i am already at 7 gallons with my P5X..before you know it i will be at 10 gallons..hmm i wonder what to get next...i figure i can just rebuild my P5X and have it as a secondary engine and probably buy an engine that has a different power band..so i can be ready for any track set up....or i can just go cheap and rebuild my P5X..what do you guys suggest?

sorry about that...brain storming here..lol
