i dont plan on replacing mine unless i get into a real bad crash and need to replace parts, the stock one is fine and i can deal with the slop its not that critical. now a starter box is better cash spent if you want to use a high powerd motor, that would be a better investment.

First off I would like to say great forum! I bought a ST-1 and you guys are really helpfull. Now a couple of questions, Does anyone have the length of the steering rods when doing the steering mod from center to center at the rod ends? I saw the length of the turnbuckle posted but I might use different ends so the length would be appreciated. One more, I have a bunch of zero offset wheels I want to use and am thinking about getting some hub extensions from ofna. Are they a direct fit? shimming needed? Thanks for your help.

There are two sets of holes on the extenders. You will have to drill out the hole closest to the bottom of the hub with a 3mm drill bit. The hubs come with 2.5 mm holes but the ST-1 uses 3mm pins. Then carefully sand the bottom of the extender to take off a little of the rim. After that you can just slide them on and insert the pin. Be sure not to drill the hole too much. You want the pin to be tight when its inserted. Its a much cheaper fix then getting offset wheels and new tires. With the extenders you can also use the straight tie rod ends which are stronger then the bent ones. Or you can use kyosho ends. RPM makes a set of tie rod ends but I dont know for sure if they fit the ST-1 tie rods.
Hope this helps. If you need anymore help just email me.

I recently bought a TTR ST-1. Here's what its doing:
1> When I start it, on idle it starts rolling
2> It turns off as soon as I take off the glow igniter
How do I fix these problems?

number 1. your idle it too high
number 2. you are running to rich lean it 1/8 turn. or keep it like that and let the motor warm up w/ the igniter in and take it off once it warmed up. (try not to lean it too much being that you are still in break in)

They work great. There is another one on that site with a charger for a few dollars more.

Those are the same size packs. I hate racers edge though. I had nothing but problems with their batteries, they wouldnt hold a charge.

Those packs are too big. I have a 2600mah pack and it just wouldnt fit. I needed about 1/4" more room then the box had. And I use a spektrum radio which has a small receiver and I just couldnt get it to fit.
