Thanks Dirthead!
I've heard the shock towers can break. I used to have a RTR but never ran it. As soon after I picked up the RTR the Pro version came out!

Might have to get a spare set of rtr aluminum shock towers.

Fat1, you are the man. Thanks alot, that is exactly what I was looking for, but after looking for 45 minutes could still not find.

I am not discouraged yet, I have been in the hobby long enough now to know these things happen.

nice st way2fast. thinking about taking mine back out to the track tomorrow night. but i still need one engine mount screw. kinda don't want to risk just driving with three screws on the bottom. but im loving this truggy. very tough and fast.

Thanks Redfox...gonna take mine out next week. Just have to finish putting my Werks clutch on my Werks .28. I also have to paint another body as I sold the one shown in the pictures. Since I'm going to race it, the race body will just be a pretty simple design as I don't think it will last long!

Thunder Tiger is distributed in Ontario, Canada by Hobbycraft. It's easy to purchase parts because they are distributed locally. Most hobby stores can have the parts in a few days or so. That's why there is such a huge following for TTR. In the past, TT was hard to come by around here but since they are distributed locally, many more people have jumped on the TTR wagon. I used to have quite a few Ofna's in the past but TT makes a quality product in the S3 and ST-1. The durability and design is excellent and the since the parts support is good as well it's an easy decision to make. Plus, TT parts are not expensive in comparison to other manufacturers.

Ace hardware should have the engine mount screw you need unless you've lost the washer as well then that's a little more tricky, as a temp but solid fix you can use a buttonehead with a flat washer, I did for three days till amain delivered the goods and had no problems.

Hey ringneck TTR is so popular in Canada cause we look for no nonsence solutions to everyday probs. They get the job done!! and cheaper than most in their class too.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
The buggy I bought from you (S3) is one amazing machine, I like it as much as my ST-1 pro maybe more. Handles awesomely, is very fast, due to the werks rossi mill P5X, and it even looks great, what more could you ask for?
Also the people that run TTR's are very loyal, and so far everyone I've talked to are very down to earth, intelligent, and very helpful.
That's pretty much the definition of a Canadian. And before any of you try to bash me for bragging, I was born in Connecticut, and lived there for 15 years.
Oh almost forgot, TTR's are the toughest bunch of SOB's out there too!!![sm=punching.gif]

Here's a pic of my ST-1 about 20' in the air doing a backflip, a spectator at our race last week posted it in our forum on our site. Did anything break? I think not!![>:]
Have a great day everyone!

Body question again... before I order my new body, I know that the MBX5T body will fit, but what about the JConcepts Illuzion MBX5T body? Io am not very fond of the TTR bodies since they tend to crack and it seems that the JConcepts are alot thicker of a body. Any opinions???

Thanks

thought someone here could give me some info on a thunder tiger pro-28b-r engine I found at a-main for114.99, is this a decent engine? I am just looking for something inexspensive for local club racing right now. Any other engine suggestions? Thanks.

Axial .28 RR is a super mill, and real cheap too, didn't have time to look up the price, but its less than 150.00. Easy to tune reliable, and real strong, mine's coupled with a jp-2 pipe, but it should work well with just about anything.

its as good as you can expect for $115. if you want a $115 engine then this would be a good one to get, Id probably buy it instead of an STS engine. I would personally look at the LRP Z.28 Spec3 but its around $165 so....

I kinda dialed it in for the local tracks, and ordered the carriers needed in alloy. The only thing I seem to wear out is teh bearings in the clutch bell
