Heh, I haven't made up my mind on an engine yet either. It's the LRP or the Jammin. I've also been considering the Sportwerks v2.

Decisions decisions.

I can't help ya with the muffler mount.

Heh, if I did, sorry man. There was a set for sale last night that I tried to get, but I was beat out. They went for 26 or so shipped, so I made out by waiting. There's another Mugen set on Ebay right now. Low bid ATM.

MadMax i just notices from that picture you posted that your steering servo arm is not centred. You should have it set so that when its at 90 degrees your wheels are facing forward, i think your steering link turnbuckle is too long. It might just be the angle???
Ohh wow. thanks! i just tested it but it doesnt hit the top plate should I still tighten it?

Watch closely make sure that it isn't touching the servo casing itself either. I got my aluminum servo arm makes SUCH a huge difference. Much better steering, and no flex in the steering.

Theres only 2 things i can say about that engine. 1, Its probably the most powerful nitro engine in the business and will smoke pretty much anything you put it up against(Except my ST-1 PRO of course) and 2, Unless you are an expert driver or close to it and you have a lot of spare money for clutchbells and bearings and tyres and chassis plates, it is way too powerful for an ST-1. Iv heard and read about these engines twisting and warping chassis plates and body parts from its massive power and pretty much rendering any rc car useless that isnt braced to its teeth with support bars and chassis braces. And thats just the body, one of these engines will shred your tyres in not time unless you can control its power properly. The guy i bought some gear off a couple weeks back has one in his Hyper ST PRO and hes been racing for nearly 10 years. He says his lap times were on average 8 seconds slower with the TM928 compared to his S7 just because it has soo much unusable power. You would definately have the fastest truggy but being able to drive it is another story

Sounds like a good radio.

Itchy...

I need to know what you think about that S7. I am going nuts trying to figure out what motor to get, and since I'll be racing, the .21 is looking good. For $250, that might be the mill to get.

I might be in the wrong place for this but I will ask anyway, If some one where to get a more exspencive motor like the vzb v-spec 21 it like $404 so like 370 at Amain could you just rebuild it when needed for less than 200 and always have a great motor in stead of buying a new 200 motor eveytime it pops.

If it makes you feel like a better driver using it then yes. It's faster then your stocker and it's got all the adjustments you will probably need. For the price I am happy with it

Right on man, I bought it for the no crystals reason, I want to give raceing a shot this year and don't want to have to deal with that issue, since there will be plenty already on my mind. I hear how people say they are faster but was not sure if it was a real diffrence that was noticable.
