It leeks in the assembling (where is glued/melted together). Is number 6 that does exactly the same.

does it leak when you get it new? When you install it make sure you install the rubber orings between the mounting posts and dont tighten the screws all the way down. You want it to be able to move a little so it's not subject to all of the sudden jolts when you land etc.

Are you sure its not just your spilling fuel or something like the exhaust or fuel lines leaking fuel around the edge and making you THINK its leaking. If you don't have airleak symtoms i would leave it.

wierd get a soldering iron and go around the edges that will seal it. Why would you try 6 tanks!!! I would contact ace hobbies either way. You could have even used a gas tank from the 8ight-t im sure. Probably would have had to redrill 1 hole but thats all.

The dealer have replaced them each time here in Denmark. I will try with an iron and see if it will do the job. Otherwise I will replace it with an other brand...unless someone has the same experience as me and have a solution in this forum.

so got to runnin the st-1 today and i have a HUGE air leak in the carb after 7 tanks. start it and idle for a sec in hit 220 degrees and then the idle climb and climbs and climbs and on 2 occasions it even revved up pretty high. as i looked in the carb i could see the fuel bubbling around the slide. is there a way to fix this myself or do i have to ask for a new carb?

This will probably fix it. Make sure the little black o-ring is still on there to. I use this to seal all my carbs

check out the fuel lines and exhaust gasket and coupler.. Heck check the carb, if the pinch bolt came loose the carb came loose and it isn't sealing.

lol max your b-day is the same day gta IV comes out yay!! XD

Hey guys, I believe I have a air leak issue, but not sure. I was at the track today and I could not get the TT.28 to start without it kicking my BUTT. I would have to continously tap my finger on the exhaust exit to give it fuel and once it would fire off it would idol erratically. it would rev, get hot, or just die. I removed the carb and sealled it with rvt, still no change. I sealled the backplate but it has a roto start so you cant really seal it. every since new it was hard to crank up onced it was running temp. Does this sound like air leak or not????? Any sugestions would be appreciated cause I am about to give up on this motor and just replace it if it wont run. My other nitros aren't near this much of a pain. Love the truck but I am really starting to hate the Motor!!!!!!

Check your fuel lines, tank, exhaust coupler, and exhaust gasket.

Is the factory HSN setting only like 3 turns out on the TT .28? Not sure as I no longer have mine but 4 out seems rich. Check for air leaks though cuz your symptoms sound like that.

Are there any after market or different brand tanks you guys would recommend? At the moment I switched to the Kyosho ST-R tank...good tank but almost half the capacity of the TTR tank. I too have had some problems with the stock ST-1 tank leaking. Any recommendations?

Oh, and I'm almost positive that the 8ight-T tank won't fit. I've been comparing it to my brother's 8ight-T and it's just way too long.
