Jammin .28, but you want rotostart. So get a picco .28 and a rotostart backplate.

Thats a good choice.
You wouldnt happen to know if a roto start would fit this OS engine would you?

Reason I ask is because I have always had fantastic luck with OS engines and this one looks like it would work really well in a truggy.

That motor is pretty much the same power as the picco .28. Only thing is it pulls a tiny bit better in the higher rpm's. Very much doubt its noticeable. Either way OS engines are awesome.

You can either use the rotostart backplate from a OS30VG-SR whick is used for the Savage. Or there is a rotostart backplate you can get separate which is the same style as the TTR one i cant remember where but if you google it you will find it. I almost bought 1 for my OS30 but got the Nosram instead

Thanks to all for the help, some guy told me that for racing is better a .21 engine than the .28 so why is that¿? he told me that with a .21 the truck handle better so if someone has a better idea than a .28 please tell me, an rb 523 is a good choice? i have a revo too so the pipe included in the rb 523 is not a waste i can use it in my revo

Hows it going guys. I just fitted a two speed gearbox to my ST-1 and the pick up and top speed are incredible, the parts were worth waiting for. Ive seen footage of st-1s standing up on the back wheels after having a two speed fitted, does anyone know whether it can be done with the stock engine or only with a more powerful engine, cheers

You can do it with the stock engine but you need to adjust the needles to bring on the power at the bottom end. If you brake while driving then apply full throttle the weight tranfer from front to back should get the wheels of the ground but not for long. The standard engine can just do it but do do them easily you need more torque and pickup, like the Picco.28 or OS.28 wheelie mills

thanks madmax22, i will try the rb523 in my ttr st-1 the best thing is if i dont like it on it or doesnt fits i always can put it on my revo. any ideas for a pipe, i hear the jp-1 or 3 are the best for a .21 or .23 but if i change the engine later for a picco .28 i dont know if it will fits.
I saw a novarossi .28 engine on amain hobbies is pretty expensive but i have a little cash in the bank but i dot know if its worth it, how does it sounds the novarossi .28 engine with a jammin jp-3 pipe in my ttr, and the best is that the novarossi came with a rotostart

well the track in my city is a small one, with 3 little ramps, so i think more torque because i can only make top speed one time per turn, and what do you think about the novarossi .28? the jp-1 fits n it and this engine is the one i have to go or is not worth the big bucks i have to pay. maybe with a .21 novarossi is good enough

I have a novarossi .21, and it has tons of power, and lots of top end too, they're not expensive for nothing
I was running iot with a dynamite 053 pipe it was in my buggy (S3), but would easily run the ST-1 I'm confident of that!

Yeah Novarossi .21 engines arent your average .21 engine, top of the line with them. I race an RB S7 with an LRP-2063 and a JP-4 and it has awesome power
