Guys, can someone tell me the best dealgoing right now on a better transmitter + servos for the ST-1.
Much appreciated.

Oh also, is there a preventative device I can buy where if the servos or transmitter dies it won't keepin driving away from me until it impacts something. I am gonna run this in PA out in the boonies and if it gets away from me it could go for miles, no lie....

Well. What is your budget for the radio?

BTW I wouldn't worry about the servo's. Stock servo's do a awesome job. They have MORE then enough torque just for racer's they prefer a faster servo for steering.

They make failsafe which will hit the brakes with the radio is turned off, or if there is interference, OR if the battery on the receiver pack is low. You do not need a separate device though if you invest in a spektrum radio system since the failsafe is built into the receiver.

@jombo hey what body is that? It looks HOT. I like how it curves around the front body pins so the posts don't get all scratched up. Also how has it been holding up?

its the body to make it fit over the lst plastic shocks i needed to cut alot off
eric its the j concepts for the mugen i think or the xray its the only body that had the dimentions of 21inches long or 19 inches long and 9 inches wide or 8.5 inches wide. the body mounts in the rear you are gona need longer ones, i used some losi lst2 long mounts and mounted them on the side of the extended wing mount to make it work not a drop in as i thought but still works

Just go my st1 today and so did my brother we got one more comming tomorrow for my other brother. We got them going after reparing one pull start, it looks like that will be the weakest link with it right now, I have those rear engine starters on my other two trucks ( ofna mutty and Hb DD) Can you guys tell me how to measure the wheels to see if they are offset or not? What is the standerd size? and do I need the wing or any other parts for racing it with my bros? Also what is the best set up for front and rear (toe in, canber, caster, droop,) or does it not make that much of a difference. Thanks

i think the spectrum dx2 is 150 or so at horizon with the servos and its a good radio, i dont have one but its supose to be the new losi radio besides jr so its got to be pretty good

The old standard wheels for the st1 would have the hex nut pretty much even with the outside of the wheel. The new ones are set in about 1".

thanks mine are the new one then. what set up are you running with the st1. I have it set up square all the way around except a little toed in on the front.

you'll want a little toe out in the front. it will turn much better.

out here its about 30 degres and yeah i would try and do fast runs but all i heard was the engine lol cuz it wasnt really going fast and i keep trying to turn the things and it always turns of on me lol i have to get the hang of it a lil bit more i guess or maybe its just not my thing

I would recommend the DX2 for your car they are an excellent radio, especially in the deal with the reciever and servos. They use the 2.4GHz spread spectrum DSM system so you never have to worry about interference or crystals or crossing frequencies or anything like that and they have a built-in failsafe too so you will be killing 2 birds with 1 stone

You definately dont want it square. You want toe in on the rear. It helps track straight and will come out of the corners straighter. You also want very little to no toe in on the front. Toe out will make it oversteer and you will be all over the track and you dont want oversteer. Too much toe in will make it understeer.

yep he is right you want either straight as possible and some negitive chamber in the front it will keep the truck go straight , i will take a pic of mine so you can see how mine is setup. now its not the final setup but i can fine tune it from there , everyone needs a starting point and mine is at the extreme of best handling and on a bumpy track setup so i can fine tune it a little without comprimising handling.
