hey guys i stay in india and the thunder tiger st1 is available here and costs $600 .i want to know whether its reliable because there is very few parts available for it.
i know this TT thread but other trucks available here on order are
hpi savage 4.6 rtr costs $830,
duratrax warehead evo costs $625,
duratrax raze st costs $725
i know the savage ,warhead is a MT but which will be more fun without burning a hole in ur pocket.i will mostly run 75% onroad and maybe rest on some muddy playground.also is there anyother to start the engine of TT ST1 if the pull start cord breaks, there are no starter box available here,so is there another way to start.

how are ya wrapter , i can tell you that the st1 is a strong truggy ive had mine for a while now and never had a problem with it, so , providing you run the engine in as per the manual and maintain it properly you should get a lot of fun out of it

well the truth is, it does cost 600 US $,even if i ship it will cost $585. amain hobbies price of 290+160(shipping)+30% customs.

also guys they dont sell nitro here ,so by not adding that it will do more good for the engine life right!
neither do the sell ready fuel, but people here mix methanol with castor oil.

here is mine as the truck leans in the corner it levels out the tire to give maximum traction, i did that to the front and the rear a little more.

out here its about 30 degres and yeah i would try and do fast runs but all i heard was the engine lol cuz it wasnt really going fast and i keep trying to turn the things and it always turns of on me lol i have to get the hang of it a lil bit more i guess or maybe its just not my thing

it may be sucking air in from somewere besides the airfilter, i would seal the motor up with rtv. just do a search here on rcu and type in engine seal or something like that and it will show you how to do it
here you go

I was wondering if the red parts PD 1849, PD1853 etc. gives the car a uppgrade or is it not worth it.

Those tires are for a 1/10 scale truck. Don't think they are going to fit those 1/8 wheels!

Is it true that Thunder Tiger owns Team Associated?

Are there any cars that are the same as the ST-1 (interchangeable parts etc). I saw Team Associated RC 18T and it looked quite similar.

I am having a hard time finding an LHS that supports TT.

I just figured if Associated owns TT, than maybe there would be an Associated car with interchangeable parts and that the LHS could work on them. All the LHS's local to me that I look up carry Traxxas, HPI, Associated, Losi etc etc....but no TT

ok that helps alot the pics look like alot of negitive camber, I will set a little negitive camber in front and rear alittle toe in in the rear and strait in the front and work from there with the tracks. The book has set up sheets but no recomended starting point. Finished the 4th tank through the motor today on the tract but its very loose because it still toed in. I'll work on the set up tomorrow. Having alittle trouble with it shutting off after it idles for a little while. I think that is the low end jet. Over all it seems very fast. Thanks for the help.

Actually, Thunder Tiger owns Associated if I'm not mistaken. Similar to the RC8 maybe TT will use some driveline parts for their truggy from the ST-1?

I don't understand why TT is so unpopular if:

A. Its owns Associated which is very popular

and

B. It makes what appears to be a very durable and well rounded Truggy why is great for anyone from a beginner to a racer. I would assume other models is makes are also well made.

I guess they just feel there products don't need to be backed by shops having parts in stock. Still haven't replaced a part that is not universal. I mean the exhaust, engine, electronics, springs, wheels, drive hexes, clutches. Those things are universal items and are really the only things likely to fail is the electronics, and/or the motor like with any R/C.

thunder tiger has been around for years and they just bought associated last yr. the new associated buggy has the st-1 drivetrain in it. check the plane forums for thunder tiger they are the top dog for plane engines. they never really did much advertising and just let there products speak for themselves. now that they are in the ground market with associated you will start to see them more and more.
