Axial supplies the body called Mantis, and the street price should be right around $450. Axial .28 Spec1s power and a high-torque steering servo like the Protos, but with a 10mm longer chassis, aluminum shock towers, and extra wide arms as shown here.

Strange...They have dual chassis braces on the front and rear. Other than that it looks really nice.

Nice to have more choices!

Nothing really impressive with the design, but you don't really know anything about it till you drive it!

doesn't have anything to stand out in the crowd cept red ano........... doupt i'll be dumping my CRT for this thing any time soon.

Infact, the only other truggy I'd try out is the Tazer. (and only because they have nice chassis and the ball suspension.

but thanks for posting, allways good to have something else to beat at the track

edit: noticed a few things that lead me to belive this is a cheap entry level truggy...

1) no CF.
2) the servo trade doesnt' carry to the front. it stops just before the steering servo.......... while easy to change the servo the only thing
helping to support front flex in ANY way shape or form are those 2 little braces. I'd break that front end off in about 3.12 seconds.

Cheap means problems that have to be fixed and then it's not cheap even worse when you cant find parts.

I never understood why the rc makers do this ....

Why reveal your low budget rtr version FIRST ...?

Seems you'd want to reveal your "Pro Kit" version first with all the sick towers, carbon fiber, cool hinge pins, cnc center braces, cva's, universals, 7075 Race chassis ... yada yada yada ....

In this case - perhaps becasue there isnt one - or they dont have hop ups.

Like the Mugen - granted its a bad arse trug ... they showed us the Budget version - bland and vanilla first - then the Prospec ....

I dont think Mugen sales of the new truggy are hurt at all by the showing of the non prospec first.

u r rught TNX - i essentially hinted at that - saying granted its pretty bad arse - and its Mooooougen - so they can get away with it.

OFNa or this company or CEN or etc .... i think not.

i agree, it makes more sense to manufacturer the "kit" version FIRST, reason being, you can generate the popularity by saying "you can now own the world winning such and such kit in RTR form"

give the newbs or people wanting to get into nitro a way to induce themselfs into the RC scene.

i think sales will be more so in that fashion. look at the STR, it came out first before the RTR version, well thats what happened here in the states anyhow, but knowing which came first i honestly dont know, but i think its great, as the STR made a name for itself, and when the question comes up "can i buy a rtr version?"

i think manufactures target RTR cause thats where the money is at and if the kit sells, then they will think at that point in time, it will be worth manufacturing as a pro kit.

thats my theory lol

looks are deceiving. its not a 600 dollar truggy. but for the price its a great rtr. a few tweaks here and there
and its good to go. the tires do suck though, the foams are way too soft.
