Default Hyper 7 truggy conversion(for bashing, not racing)

Well I have a new Hyper 8 pro kit on the way and I'm moving all my electronics/engine over to it to race with. But I still want something else that I can bash with because it's fun to just goof around once in a while. Once you race 1/8th scale it's somewhat expensive to run(TIRES!!) anywhere but the track. So I'm thinking I'll slowly convert the 7 to a truggy mainly for just messing around and to let my dad run in the truggy class if I can drag him to the racetrack.

I want to know what the BARE essentials to put big tires/widen the stance/and put a truck body. I've read around and I've basically figured that I'll need to regear it lower, add bigger tires(duh) with some hub extensions, and get shock towers that are truck-body friendly.

I'd also like to see some hyper 7 conversions if you guys have some.

I know I could get a Dominator spur gear, with some Dominator wheels, but the thing that I haven't found a lot of info on is the body mounting. Can someone enlighten me in that area as to how you go about that? Or what you need to buy?

LSP ring and pinions 9they will fit), SUT body mounts (bolt them to the existing shock towers), truck body, hub extenders (cheap on ebay) and you're done.

Thank you... but where can I find the LSP ring and pinion set... and what's a recommended ratio?

I'd just like it to be comparable to a Tmaxx or Savage etc etc.

By looking at the prices, I'd say 100-150.

Hmmm, could i buy some hyper st wheels? Im not sure what hex they are... but my other option is getting the pro line wheel adapters and then buyng expensive pro line wheels. The converstion might take a while because ill still have to upgrade the gearing... the links above still a good idea?

Yeah. You could do better on ebay, with some patience of course. Hyper ST wheels would be fine, as well as any 17mm hex wheels. Just decide on what offset you want.
