I run the SH 28 in both of my 1/8 scale buggies and they are screamers. Hard to beat they are very fast motors , but I think the ofna one has more low end and mid and the SH engines have low and top end

Never been turned over? [sm=50_50.gif]... "...even the 26 was getting hot on me so I went to the 28 and she seems to be go to go" or did they send you a replacement when the first gave you trouble?

I was told that the 21 vertex is not a team vertex motor, right from the company they have not heard of it or do they claim it, I think there is a vertex 18 too not sure??? Did you put the SH 28p-3 in your truggy? They move don't they? I still like my ofna force 28 in my truggy and the SH28-p3 in my buggies. If you did put the SH 28p-3 in the truggy can you show some photo's???

right Team Vertex 26 and Vertex 21 are not the same, if by not the same I mean identical then yes, not the same. The only difference is the stamp on the side of the case, I have them here side by side and even swapped out carbs on accident while cleaning. Also, has anybody painted their engines? I put two cotes of high temp black spray paint for outdoor grills on my sh engine and it came out pretty good, does not come off with any of the regular cleaning chems either, only scratches off for now.

Ok I got myself an os A3 glow plug..[:-].I dusted of my vertex 26 and I'm going to put it in my hot bodies buggy...I really didn't have to much of a problem with this power plant after I found most of my problem was the fuel tank on my truggy...so crossing my fingers.......I feel this should make this buggy scream...

I got the 26 dialed in this morning on the street but I got out to the track and its under total rebuild! Oh well they'll be done in a few hours, we have a big state race in a few weeks. Last week I had to cut my day short because of two leaking differentials, rear on st1 and center on raze ko. I found out I was overfilling my diffs. Man I love this truck!

Has anybody broken anything on this truck? That is under normal wear and tear on the track, not mailboxes or trying to jump over houses. I have had a few small issues with the clutch bel coming off and I went through some bells early on. My servos are fine, brakes, all plastics have held up, ams, linkages, everything! Is there a short list of items I should have that are common problems on the track? I did grind away the small gear that turns the rear diff today, the screw was loose on the piece that the dog bone goes into in the rear, yes it has a name. So the gear was just sliding around in there. The crown gear is fine but I'll have to get a new....whatever its called, smaller gear the connects to the dog bone, and then some locktite!

it's called the rear diff bevel Gear set and the part number is VTX-85736 and a diff Gasket set number VTX-85854. That should do it for you as the gears are all the same in the front and the center and the rear all the same. So the diff gear set comes with four gears the two smaller one's and the two big one's and the two dog bones.

MBX5 crowd pleaser use front hole setback then move them in 4mm on eachside i believe. This body is the best I have found and I
have tried k, jammin, thunder tiger, REVO, HOT BODY's, all used of course, the MBX5 is long. leave on the front wheel well and tape
it off so it stays clear and you can fold it inlater. This will stop all the roost from going inside. Just use the back half. The rear shocks
should line up with the body's shock wells.Do to the longer wheel base MUGAN this body keeps her clean inside. one other thing I did
was move the rear mounts to one centered on the rear shock tower. If done right you will be very pleased.

I do believe thats the jammin body and notice how the wheel wells don't fit the wheel base.
The problem that the mugan body solves is the dirt factor. The reason I went to a single body mount
in the rear is to get them from mounting in the shock wells just like the one in the photo. The mugan
also has the shock wells in the front that work perfect and the wheel wells run far forward with the nose
blunt at the front end kind of like the losi but not as square. Pipe is good no burned body as well as
just a good all around fit with no dirt in the inside.

Finally broke something, it was good too. New layout at the track this week, huge 20+ foot triple that has buggies and truggies 15ft up in the air all day, those that only go 14 suffer the consequences. I was struggling with traction cause racing was over and the track had a nice layer of clay dust throughout and I was feeling good. I lined it up at full throttle and watched my st1 reach heights I had never seen before, I applied some brake when I cleared the lip to make a nice smooth nose down landing, then gave it some throttle as I softly descended on the downslope, but wait... I was 2 feet to the left, over jumped the landing and My nose did not come up. I was 90 degrees nose down, about 28mph, from a 15ft drop, directly over some 8"pvc, right on the front left tire. Sevral flips and tumbles later I was rubber side down as I heard moans from some of the others watching, I turned left and just kept turning left. I walked up to the truck and could see my nice shiny universal shaft had dug a nice circle in the clay and my upper arm was just hanging there. I think I jinxed myself by asking earlier in the thread what parts I should order for spares. Heres whats left for now...

I just got a vtx b1 and have to say I am impressed with bang for the buck. I would like to see a weak spot strengthend though! If you try to flex your vehicle you will notice that it flexes right at the pinion/center dif mesh! This needs bracing!

I would like to know carb sets people are running. So far I am at 4 out on high speed, 3 & 1/2 out on low, and 1 in on mid. I think this GO engine has some serious potential!

It has a go engine in it? I know the mid is flush and pointing right at the HSN , the LSN 2 1/2 and the HSN 3 1/2 to 4 Now these are my settings on a go21 motor that I got from my sponsor and it gets and goes for sure it's a nice motor I ran it in mt VTX ST1 tell I got my ofna force 28 so give it a try and see what happens I know the mid is set it and forget it. then you get the low dieled in and then all you have to deal with is the high .

I broke that same piece on my buggy. The whole front is now billet. The rear on my truggy is billet. Now,I need to do the opposite to each.
