Default Let's rank 'em!!! Best TRUGGY's

I have listed these in order that I think they rank.

I personally own the 8ight, and don't have any concrete knowledge of how these really stack up. I am just going off forum talk, magazine shootouts, and retail pricing to make a guess at this. What's your take? I hope I didn't miss any of the big players.

For me, the Mugen and Kyosho really peak my curiosity, but my 8ight is cool for now.

Mugen MBX5T
Losi 8ight T
Kyosho ST-R
CEN Matrix
Jammin CRT
HPI Hellfire
Hot Bodies Stadium Pro
Robotronics Mantis

Yeah these posts just end eith the old 'vote for what i own' or stories like my mate bought a #### and it exploded on its first lap...

I bought a HB Pro R coss I race at a bumpy track and I crash a lot so its extra strong construction suited me. Is it the best truggy? no way, 14mm hubs suck, but upgrade a few things and it will run with the mugen brigade.

Anyway they are only as good as the driver. Theres bugger all difference between most 1/8 bugs and truggies, they just come in different boxes with very minor changes, one might have a alloy radio tray, the other might have CF, one might have 36 different suspension setups, the other has 34 ect..

I assume you've owned or driven all those truggies to base your ranking on?

Yeah, the problem is alot of people will say what they own is the best without any experience (owning) the others. Also its very subjective. What does one feel is a better quality in one vs. another......

Coopz, I couldn't have put it better myself, I own a Jammin CRT pro because I am partial to Ofna and it suits my driving style, do I think it's the best? No, it's the best for me but probably not for someone else, it all depends on how you drive and what you like. All high end truggies are excellent vehicles, you can't say that one is superior to the rest.[8D]

ahhh very well put Coopz. but yes you guys are right this could turn bad, if we stop saying how it will turn into a flame war and actually argue over the best trug.

IMo out of the box the mugen is the best thing going, the kyosho has more potential than allot of the other trucks and is still solid out of the box.

this comment is so senile, all truggys are all good, some have better and stronger parts then other, but all are based off the same design, just modified off from each other. so saying that
I have a CRT so that makes it the best truggy there ever was/ is/ and ever will be. So please quite wasting your energy
that is a sure assessment that you haven't thought of other aspects of how they are different or even driven other truggies to know the difference.

just my 2 cents.

Yeah, the problem is alot of people will say what they own is the best without any experience (owning) the others. Also its very subjective. What does one feel is a better quality in one vs. another......

Not me.. I Own a Storm SUT.. after 2 years they would be happy im a couple thousand miles away from California as Id' fire it through there window in a heart beat.. 8 weeks back order on a chassis last year, I had to buy a used one just to not miss last years racing season.

I won't sell it cause i don't want the headache of a person pestering me everytime it breaks down cause it will hands down everytime
