Just saw this on my Hot Bodies Lightning GT:

Because HB parts are hard and expensive to get here in Germany, can I just use other cups??
Thanks..

That's how pretty much ALL diffs are built.
Take your rear dogbones out and test-fit them into Savage diff cups. I think the ball end on the Lightning cars are too small to work with Savage parts, though. I'd wager good money though that Kyosho diff cups will work.

What's kind of dumb is, I think the diff is OK, but the cups are going fast with this engine... I recently took my old Savage 25 apart, and don't think I'd ever be able to get those diffs back together.. I DO have those cups there though..
And I do know that ball at the end of the Savage bone is too big to fit in the HB cup..(that just sounds perverted...)
Anyway, if I get some Kyosho cups or whatever, when I take the diff apart, am I gonna have to shim, etc?? Cuz if so I'd rather buy a whole new diff.....

you shouldn't have to shim them. If worst comes to worst, HB DOES sell entire assembled diffs, but I'd just try going after the Kyosho cups first and foremost. the diffs aren't hard to put together, just read the instructions
