i bought my first truggy (a hellfire) and it was used so i took it all apart for cleaning. when i started it several minutes ago, the front tires spun forwards but the rear spun backwards. of course it didn't go anywhere since the tires were fighting each other.......but wheres the problem????

Ur Rear Or front diff is probably mounted upsidedown no biggy just check the one that is going in reverse

the rear was upside down, i was to stupid to look at the obvious!!!!! stupid rookies i like my 2wd stadium truck more and more ever day (j/k)

Yeah, make sure the 2 dots on the diff case are showing, which denotes the proper placement .

haha ive done this before. i coudlnt figure it out for a while either until i toook it all apart again and had to fix it. you take it all apart replace the fluid or repair the diff. and then put it all abck together to find out it is wrong then you ahev to take it all apart again. lol it blows

Oh man thanks for the heads up on that one. I guess I have been lucky so far have not done that yet
It sure would suck to put it all back together and find out it was backwards, I could so see me doing that

thats more of a common problem than you think.
i did it too. i picked up a used t maxx and did the same thing.
i took the whole truck apart to clean and check.
well when i put the truck back together. it won`t move when i went to roll across the floor.
i took it to my LHS and the guys there said you got the diff in wrong. the guys there are very cool.
but that was last year and they still won`t let me live it down that i put the truck back together wrong.
i`ll never do that again.LOL my pride went right out the window on that one. LOL

I take a sharpie, silver, and draw a big-ass arrow on it, so I know how to install the diff
