Team drivers choose to use the composite braces for top competition. The only worthwhile upgrade that exists right now for this car, is the aluminium suspension block set. You can get CNC braces if you want, but they take a lot of flex out of the chassis, which adversely affects the handling. XT8s like to flex.

RE: Got my XT8...
I've seen that TM928 run in a MBX5T and it was wicked... too wicked. I opted for the TM728 and put the bump start back plate on.
There were a couple things that I was disappointed about with the XT8 kit. First was the use of philips head screws (soft screws by the way). Some of the screws were the wood screw type with the wide spaced threads. Second was the eclips and third was the plastic suspension holders (pivot blocks).
Should be a rockin good truck though. Let me know what you think of that ACE DS1015 servo.

I been using the DS1015 for a couple of years now, I have a DS1013 in my Savage and another DS1015 in my XB8. In my opinion, it's the best 1/8th steering servo out there, great torque great speed, great durability and digital too.

Foxy, I do believe you have your rear hubs on the wrong way. If it's anything like the MBX5T, the tabs should be pointing back, not forward, towards the front tires.
*Edit*
Yup, I just checked. Your rear hubs are indeed install incorrectly. They should point behind the car.

You're right. Well spotted. That'll teach me to work on it in the small hours of the morning! lol. Thanks for that.
EDIT: Fixed. I woulda noticed eventually, but you probably saved me some 'interesting' rear handling diagnosis there, thanks again.

it's spelled "oral surgeon" by the way...good luck with that career choice by the way. It's tough as nails. I'm about to start my residency as a resident physician and it take so much time out of my hobby.

personally dude, I think that trugg looks awesome. I'm not much into really wild paint schemes. I've seen some good ones dont get me wrong but I think your looks...elegant? that sounds gay as hell but anyway it looks good man.

Does look great foxy, i'm not he biggest fan of really over the top bodyshell paint jobs, i can appreciate the skill in it but the styles not for me. Yours looks refined and will still be very easy to spot. Hope you post some video would love to see it going.

OK all, here's a final batch of pics for you all. Showing off the nice quality parts, the engine and finally the fully trimmed body with ventilation and a set of HPI on road truggy tires on black spoked rims (for break in). Video eventually, it's gonna take a week to break this baby in properly.

RE: Got my XT8...
No hole for the engine head, no need, has a good 5mm clearance and the back is open.
As for break in, RB engines are notoriously difficult to break in, they won't develop full power until well over a gallon, so I will take my time and not start giving it until it's had at least 2 litres through it. No point taking a vid until I'm ready to really gun it...

RE: Got my XT8...
Just a quick experiment posting a highly optimised hi-res pic... If it works, I'll leave it, and you'll need to hit the little cursors to make it full size... EDIT: Meh, didn't work. Some kind of fixed size going on here, I think it lets y ou post up to 1024x768, then after that they are reduced automatically to 800x600. Nice shot though, so I'll leave it.
