Hey Guys....Long time reader, first time posting.
I just purchased a RTR Hellfire about a month ago. I have only run about half a tank through it due to some other issues (mostly cause by me). This is my first nitro car, im still learning so stick with me.
I was running it this weekend when the motor just shut off. It still had about a half a tank in it when this happened. When i tryed to get it started again the engine would not turn over. So i pulled the plug and tryed to pull it thinking that it may have hydro locked for some odd reason, but it still would not turn over. I have been really carefull not to run the truck to lean. I bought a temp gun when i got the truck just to make sure it wasnt getting to hot while i learned to tune it in. The truck was probably running a little rich when this happened, it was blowing a healthy amount of smoke.
Any ideas? Im going to try and take it apart tonight to check it out. I hope this motor isnt junk becuase i dont think it was caused by anything i did. Anybody else have something similar to this happen to them?
Thanks for you help ahead of time. I'll try and keep you informed as i dig in deeper.

You were running at the track with a half of a tank run through it? Did you not break in the engine?
If the motor will not turn over with the plug pulled, I think you mave have just learned a couple hundred dollar lesson in reading the directions.
It sounds like you should just take it back to the shop where you bought it and ask for help.

sounds familiar... i was at the track two weeks ago with my hellfire and i was doing great then it just died.. scared me because i thought it had locked up. I just had a rock between the spur gear and clutch bell.
