Phenomenal deal!! For the price you get such great value. You get a awesome vehicle, you get very good electronics, and you get a reliable very quick Mach 427 motor! Should run circles around your revo. With the stock mach 427 and a 15T bell it can do about 50MPH. 8ight-t is a pretty light vehicle so even though it doesn't have a 2 speed is sure will move.

Insanely more durable I would say it is just as indestructible as the Thunder Tiger ST-1. There is actually a runaway video of a Losi 8ight-t (his battery died becasue he forgot to charge it and the failsafe was not setup correctly it is built into the receiver. BE SURE to read the manual on how to setup the built in failsafe!!) he went full tilt during break-in into a wall and then into a curb. NO damage just some scratches! If I find the video I will post. Stock even for just racing it is awesome I would only suggest adding differential fluid. The stock wheels are VERY good for most tracks and most conditions with awesome tread life, they are also very light!

No I talked to that kid. Wasn't his servo was just his battery like he said on the youtube description. He is a LSTforums member. I would just suggest setting up the servo endpoints so it doesn't burn out the servo's.

I had to relign my carb, because as the slide pulled out of the carb there was some angled pressure on it that would wear out the seals in the carb,
Id suggest to loosen the carb see how it throws and make sure everything is very smooth should be no binding or dragging or rubbing of anything.
I only burned one servo out and that was the stock one so I think I have it setup right now.
I also think that the stock throttle servo could burn out just by using the brakes its a pretty weak servo

Well guys I finally convinced the wife to let me spend the money and got my own 8ight-t Rtr. can't wait to break it in this comming weekend. Quick question on that. The manual says to do the oval thing with the factor settings for the first 3 tanks. Than after that tune it for performance? Is that it or am I missing somehting. I have only broke in Traxxas engins and that break in is very different.
I upgraded to the 8ight cause I plan on racing this summer (and bashing lol) and figured I would start out with the best I could find.

Losi comes stock with a 13t bell so a 15t bell could jump the speed to 50

Exactly, they did put a 15 tooth in, which actually helps the massive power output of teh 427 be a tad more controllable
