Default RE: 40MHz - 27Mhz ???

40 of course but thats only offerd in europe i think. the higher the frequency the better .
the 27mhz is a low frequency and hugs the earth with alot of power its ideal but a higher frequency 40 mhz or like the gigahertz they travel up higher in the atmosphere and over obsticalsas the 27 would go up and over.
sorry making it more complicated than it is, basicly the 27 say travels 50 ft off the ground more prone to interferanse and the 40 mhz say 200 ft in the air less prone to obsticals and interferance so yes 40 is better

40mhz is used in Australia I heard because anything lower will interfere with a emergency signal and it would be illegal. They are all the same. What would make a difference is whether it is FM and AM or 2.4ghz and if there is another signal on one of those to interfere with of course

i think there are either 72mhz 75 27 49 and 50 with a ham licence , then the new are the 2.2 and spectrum frequ which are the same, you sure its not 72 or channel 73
