I am in the market for a NIB Truggy. Been out of the sport for a long time and have lost touch with the community. Done lots of research and I am still stuck. If money were no option what truggy would you get with out having to upgrade. Which truggy would you get planning on doing some upgrades. And, what would be the second, third, fourth down on your list. Planning to do some racing and a little bashing on rainy days.

1. OCM DT-19T
2. Xray XT8
3. Hyper ST Pro
4. Kyosho ST-RR
5. New CEN Matrix
6. Jammin' X2
After the OCM they aren't in any order but some I would consider.

No upgrades=Losi 8ight-t
Upgrades=
1-Hyper ST Pro cheaper price then st-rr
2-Kyosho ST-RR
I have or have driven these so I would say these to choose from. Others I cannot comment on.

On the kyosho, the only thing thats needed to upgrade is the front knuckles to kingheadz knuckles. Heard the Mugen braces should be upgraded. Not sure about Xray XT8, Team Losi 8ight t, Hyper St Pro. But nothing is made perfect that has no need for upgrades, if so then there wouldn be like 100+ option parts for each of these trucks.

hey rybek good to see a fellow cental FL racer getting back into the hobby.I like you was out of the hobby for a couple of years just getting back if money is no object go get a Kyosho ST-RR but your talking 1200$ - 1500$, a little less you can get a LOSI 8T race roller the kit is 100$-175$ cheaper depending where you buy it and comes with a race worthy set of tires (ST-RR doesn't have tires) the OFNA Hyper ST PRO is about the same as the 8T in price maybe a little more durable not quite as good in performance, if you are starting from scratch I would suggest a 8T RTR (can be bought for around 650$) comes with a Spektrum which saves so much hassle about worrying about Frequencies , good tires, adequate motor, rechargeable reciever pack, buy a high torque servo put the steering servo in the throttle position, change the diff fluids from grease to silicone oil and you will have a very competitive cub racer and with a few other upgrades can race at any level.
