Default I think I know how to do this but I dont....

Hey guys.

I might be picking up some chrome rims (ill try to find spinners LOL) for my Nitrage tomorrow.

Whats the best way to unglue the tyres I have on my dish rims and transfer them to the rims I pick up tomorrow.

Or do I need to get new tyres.?

These are the rims I plan to pick up tomorrow.

Im planning to replace the dish wheels (Pictured below), with the chrome ones (Also Pictured below)

Any suggestions.?

Thanks

You can boil them to get the tires off. Bring a pot of water to boil then place tire in water for about 5-10 min. The tire will come right off and it wont ruin the wheel or tire. Dont do this with chrome wheels though because it will ruin the chrome. Dont get spinners either.

Why not just buy some tyres aswell, like CF's, BT's, or some panthers etc...MT tyres are pretty inexpensive now that LPR's have been released.

The dish wheels are good for racing b/c they are more durable and more aerodynamic...... The Chrome wheels will chip away after a couple rides BTW........lol spinners sound cool! and try the boiling water thing that twomany posted above^^^^ works good!

If I find MT tyres or paddle tyres ill bolt them on the chrome ones.

Yeah spinners lol, I need to find someone that makes them that small.

Whats suprising that the chrome wheels are about .225' bigger than the dish.

If they still have Badlands in stock ill stock up on those.

Ill try that water idea, or can I not use a butter knife and pry it off.?

Well I just got back.

Forget spinners in the end I was too broke to buy a glow plug.

I think I bought a new Nitrage, im not sure tho.

I got every spare part avaliable for it, and every hop up option lol.

I got a new chassis, body, a - arms, suspension, suspension mounts, damper holds, fuel tank, 2 servos for some reason that is not apparant to me, 3 diffs, driveshafts etcc... Everything except the Engine, wheels and a wing

Now I kinda screwed myself, do I try and build another Nitrage or keep all the parts I got as spares.

And I found a place that will powder coat my chassis. Im gonna go there Sunday and get the new chassis powder coated in PinK .
Also bought some paint (Pink % Purple) for the body and servos.

And gonna paint my dish wheels Flourecent Pink and Purple .

The only usable parts I bought at the moment are the Precision Steering Plate, Front And Rear Damper Holders, and Front and Rear Suspension Mounts.

My mom thinks ive gone mad lol.

I also found 30% Nitro.

I originally asked the guy for 20%, he didnt have any in the front, he went in the back and picked up a crate and bought it out front, when he openned it up, 4 Gallons of 30%. I bought the entire thing lol, we never never ever find 30% here, its like more valuable than gold lol.

It wasnt a good sight of me walking into my house lol.

But now im broke again

Tho when my dad and bro get back, ill sell them each of a gallon and make all my money back .

Will maybe drop by at another LHS to see if they got chrome rims tomorrow, need to sweet talk my mom into giving me some money lol.

Thanks

Lol I have no idea howmuch I spent.

And im not gonna calculate, I might just jump outta my window lol.

I only have 2 pics.

Most of the stuff is under the chassis, but it gives the idea.

The entire tool box is full of Nitrage parts.

And its gonna accompany me to the track everytime from now.

Stickers? Where? hehe if your talking about the wheels, there not stickers, thats in the wheel. I dyed them green with stickers on them and then removed the stickers. Presto Permanent wheel graphic that won't rub off.

no stickers on the body thats all airbrush work.

Would adhesive remover work to get wheel glue off. I was pondering this today while messing with a old Team Losi JRx2 buggy.......?
