Default Truggie servos

I just bought a truggie. Without the engine running common sense tells me the steering and throttle should move. Only thing that happens when I turn on the truggie is the wheels turn to the right about a 1/4 inch if I shut it off it does it again and again but using the conroller it does nothing. Any ideas?

Yes using new double aa's but they are cheap batteries, this is a nitro truggie as well. I'll try better batteries.

Gotta look at the voltage of the batteries, NiMH and NiCD AA's are 1.2V each so they equate to less power. (4.8V In total)
Alkaline AA's are 1.5V each and give out 6V in total.

Which ones are you running, that may be your problem.

What truck did you buy.?

It should still move the servos. I assume you have new batteries in your radio too?

If you have another RC i would try plugging the servos into a different reciever and make sure each of them work, if they do then maybe try moving crystals around to try the good radio with the new reciever and viceversa to narrow down the faulty component.

If you dont have extra parts to troubleshoot with you could take it to your LHS if they are decent they will give you a hand.

Did you ever get the servos wet? Try plugging in a different servo and see if that works, if it does your servos should be alright. Then if you can try a different receiver if you still aren't sure what's wrong. Lastly try replacing your crystals if you have them in your radio.

I just bought a truggie.
It also could be his servos are done for already, thats why I asked him what truck did he get.?

Losi had a problem with the spektrum servos.

If he got that one, servos will need to be replaced.

Okay I tried fully charged rechargable batteries. I can get the servos to move if......I touch the radio to the antenna wire. Make any sense to anyone ???????? Are rechargeable batteries not good. They are called pure energy.

Rechargeables only make 1.2v each. AA alkalines make 1.5v each. Are you talking about your radio or receiver? For your receiver you must atleast run AA alkelines. With your radio rechargeables are fine.

If you can, get a hump back for your receiver, instead of Alkalines, they have 1.5V, but a crappy discharge rate, so they'll die not too long after you put them in there.

I use the Ballistic Batteries 2700 mAH pack from AMainHobbies.com, and it's amazing.

Brand new Duracells in the truck and the radio, still the servos only move if I touch the antenna to the radio antenna. I'm just going to try and find a reputable hobby shop here in Edmonton.

By any chance while installing the reciever antenna, did ya trim the top of the wire a bit.

That could be the problem.

Also I dont know if this would make a differience, is the radio antenna bent.?

So it must be your receiver then. I know what kind of listings you are talking about, they don't really guarantee it, they are selling it as is. Receiver's aren't expesive though just get a controller like this.

Also look up the xp3
