WOW! [sm=cry_smile.gif]You guys go right for the kill.. Guess I will just sit here and read the fourms. Taking part in conversation is out of the Question. I take it all back you guys arent more fun .. I would rather blow my Losi up under a car for the miltary searching for bombs and give up the hobbie than ever drive a copy cat want to be Mugen. and if the armed forces were going to use RC/turggys to search for the bombs thay would more that likly go with the cheper such as the Caster/Mugen ,Thunder Tigers Redcats or any of the other knock offs to do the dirty work..[sm=punching.gif][sm=punching.gif][sm=punching.gif]

Well I think you are wrong. Since Caster has come out with there own Big Bore shocks and there own oval air filters and there own Ferodo carbon brake pads there own high torque racing servos, starter boxes, buggy tires etc, shall I go on, before Mugen has than I guess when mugen does come out with them then the Mugen will be a copy cat Caster! LOL! I have seen the same amount of mugen's winning Pro races recently then Casters (0) so I guess they are not that much better.

P.S. you should just bite bullet and buy the caster since you like posting here so much!

Hey look at it this way...at least if it got blown up looking for car bombs it would actually be useful (if the throttle servo lasted that long).....instead of "just another 8ight-T". Actually, if your driving anything but the original Hot Bodies Truggy (since they were first)...they are all knock offs with newer technology. Now go back to the Losi forum...thier asses are getting dry without your lips on them. [sm=punching.gif] [sm=48_48.gif]

I think we are getting a little harsh on benny here. He is just messing around about Caster/Mugen. He is a really nice guy and really does not look down on nobody or what you drive. Me and him just mess with each other but it is getting a little out of hand I think. I am guilty too so I am not talking about just others here. We will welcome him to the dark side soon enough.

Any idea on when the Caster 1/8 scale electric buggy is going to be available?

Any truth to the rumor they are working on a brushless truggy too?

They are supposed to be here soon. I have one ordered for stock when they come in. I am sure me or someone will post about it. The brushless truggy is is said to be coming shortly thereafter.

Yes, the rumor isn't a rumor. Caster is releasing a brushless buggy with the truggy (both 1/8th) to follow shortly thereafter. Caster has also developed thier own Big Bore shocks which are currently in route stateside. Keep an eye on CasterRacingUSA.com for details on the brushless buggy/truggy as they become available.

well its been a couple of months since this thread was started.
how do you all like the truggy.
Is it durable?
Handles good?
any problems with axle pins of some sort.?
Really thinking about getting one for the price.

I love mine. Only problem I had was a bad batch of captured hinge pins I bought that were not hardened and bent easily causing a couple broken arms but problem fixed now. Have not broken a arm in a long time now. I blew out one rear diff but it was my fault. I took it apart to check my bearings and gears and forgot to the big shim back inside behind the internal gears and it chewed up right after. I beat mine up pretty good and it takes it. I run at tracks about twice a week. My axle pins are still perfect and not flattened out or anything. The thing handles great. I got it setup a little loose on in the rear and turns very sharp. There is a new ackerman plate coming out that is supposed to increase steering even more! Big Bores are on the way too.

See I am honest, I had a couple problems but did not say it was perfect, the best thing in the world and tough as nails, never broke a thing like some others with different brands!

I haven't had any of vnm's problems, but he might be beating on his a little harder than I do. I've rung mine out, gave it hell, and broken nothing. I did replace the stock c-clip lower hinge pins with some captured units before I got rough with it (Mugen MBX5T's), tires and wheels (often done anyway no matter what vehicle it is). And it's kickin right along, I do plan on getting the Caster Big Bores...but I have Jammin 16mm Big Bores on it right now. I've had zero problems out of mine and love it.

As far as handling go's, The Caster (compared to the TTR) feels extremely fluid and effortless to me. Where the TTR felt more like a tank, the Caster feels more like a tuned sports car. Turns significantly better than my TTR as well.

Well my problems were not the trucks fault. Bad hinge pins and me not putting the diff back together right so as far as the truck goes it has been perfect!

There is a Distributor in Australia Stuss, but for the life of me I can't find it on the casterusa.com site. I know razzor posted the name, address and phone numbers, I just don't remember which thread it was in.

Yup...wouldn't be the first time I would have seen a Losi cut to Idle abruptly with no throttle response.

David finishing third with the Caster is great. "The result reflects the Caster's competitiveness even when up against the likes of Taylor James." has to be my favorite statement of the week
