vnmsgt you really get the full effect of that 6t body from the rear left view, anyhow i see you run the 1/2'' hubs have you ever tried 0 offset hubs to 0 offset wheels?, i did it to my mbx5t and loved it
Zero offset hubs with zero offset wheels should make the rim hit the arms at full steering and make the width of the truggy alot smaller. I dont think it will work. A friend of mine did it and from what I remember it limited his steering because of what I mentioned.

Here is what looks like the new updated 2010 K8T Truggy!!

http://casterracing.com/car/main_view.php?cid=3&iid=3

From reading the page you will see it has all new differential gear ratio (small gear conversion is now stock!!)

46/10 front and rear diffs
46/16 Center diff

New stand up steering servo that closer to the center.

New Ackerman plate

A new chassis also!

It also has all the F8T shock towers and a new ackerman plate. Cant wait to see what else too.

Just got the new 2010 K8T Truggy in. Just got sent to the states 2 weeks ago. Below is a list of the changes I noticed since having one in my hands now.

-THE CHASSIS IS ALMOST 1/4" LONGER!!
-It uses BUGGY brake discs!!!! No more stripped truggy ones
-It comes with the new shorter from shock bodies.
-New pillow balls with stoppers
-It comes with side chassis mud guards now
-New wing
-Aluminum clutch shoes
-Front chassis brace moved over to other side of front driveshaft.
-Now has buggy hubs (I prefer the extenders)
-LPR Wheels and tires.

The new truck IS dialed! I put the same setup on this truck as my old K8T and started it up for the first time at PNB 3 and right from the start on the track it was way better and I have not even tuned the suspension or anything yet. Turns better and rotates better with less effort, brakes..... well all I can say is WOW! The change to the buggy zx1.5R brakes have made a HUGE difference in stopping along with the small spur so you do not have all the weight to stop of the old big spur. With moving all the drivetrain, spur, center diff and mount and throttle servo way lower and completely level with the chassis lowered the CG a ton, plus the longer chassis has all equaled to a completely different truck and definetly more competitive. I got alot of attention and questions about the new truck this weekend.

Qualified for the C-main in PRO Truggy. Busted out 11 laps all 3 of my quals. Not bad at all but I think most of the B and C-mains all had 11 laps in quals so racing was extremely close all weekend. Finished 10th overall but there I think everyone was a PRO at hacking LOL! Was up to third during the first 3-4 laps I think but got caught up in some trouble. Had a great time and the 2010 K8T performed awesome for its debut run.

Looks alot better than the proto K8T I bought 3 years ago. I could see the potential, but man. Good job Caster, those pics on the last page of the new truck look outstanding.

He needs to show it naked. Then it really shines. By the way, when you go to casterracingusa.com and look at the cars, when you are on a specific part, you can click to zoom and get a lot of detailed pics.

For example....

http://casterracingusa.com/popup_ima...2010%29&area=C

By the way, that truggy pictured has a JConcepts body on it, but they also have a new street price with the mods for only $425. They have tons of 7075 aluminum, spiral cut gears, and every issue that your truggy had is now fixed. These are the real deal now. I finally got my way for us building a very high quality product.

Raced at the Wow Saturday night points series this past saturday and TQ'd with the K8T! Finished 5th overall as the track got really dusty and loose toward the end of the 30 minute main but still a good showing. Truck was great. Also TQ'd with the Caster buggy ZX1.5R RTR!

Gonna try some red springs (stiffer) and see how that works. Truck is dialed now but has some sway in the corners. Want to stiffen it up and the swaybars and see what it does.

Also painted a new body for the K8T. Another quicky single paint job but it looks mean though.

wow, i must say im impressed with the looks of this truck. Ive been looking to get into some local truggy racing here in the NY area. we have a local track that runs them and its very popular. However i want to go brushless instead of gas. How does that work do brushless race with gas ?.. are the brushless becoming popular or should i just go gas ? I was considering going with the new brushless rtr caster. It looks like such a great deal out of the box. Plus i want to get my son into it. However i want to keep my costs reasonable to start out with. Have you guys found getting parts not an issue? also im hoping to get pointers from guys at the track regarding tuning. However many seem to run the losi truggy so thats sort of prevented me from getting something yet due to the losi high start up cost.

thanks for any input. i really want to start racing this class it looks like a ton of fun.

I see your from poughkeepsie! I used to live around there in North Salem, Westchester, Mount Kisco area! Have not heard poughkeepsie in a long time. Anyways It depends on your track if they run electric with nitro. Most do not because electric is sort of an unfair advantage when it comes to all out power. Also Electrics have a harder time running the long mains that nitro's do. So if your track is mostly nitro, then go with that. Most people nowadays order all there stuff from online so parts is not a problem at all. I have been running them for almost 3 years and never once have I not been able to race because I was waiting for a part. You can order parts for Caster at holeshothobbies.com or Casterracingusa.com, stormerhobbies.com and a few others if you look them up online. Also more and more dealers are carrying them now. If you got alot of questions on this truggy PM me. I'll give you my number. You will not be disappointed![>:]

Changed the setup on my truggy some and found a better setup. Alot more on power steering. I am now running 5-10-5 in my diffs and my front toe is now set at zero. Also went to 35 wt oil in all 4 shocks and took some droop out of the rear of the truck. Worked pretty awesome.

Found a video of the B-main Pro truggy I was in last sunday. Got a good start running 2nd but fell back from a couple bobbles. Around the 2:40 to 3 minute mark and after you can start to see me working my way back up to almost take second then was battling 3-4 for a little bit. I am the BLACK truggy with YELLOW wheels and wing. In the start I was the 4th from the right. My girlfriend in the red shirt was holding me. The changes I made above really helped me work my way back through the field as you can see in the vid. Truck was really good.
