Are you looking at the rtr's or the pro's. With the rtr's I would go losi hands down but if were talking pro's it would be a tougher choice. I would get the hyper st pro (450.00) and get a LRP Z.28R Spec 3(150.00) or something like that.

I have a Hyper ST RTR and I love it!! I am also looking at a new truggythis year and the Eight T is on a very short list or at least at the very top! If you do go RTR, first thing to do was to break in the engine right?.... not in this case. Rip it out and throw it in the deepest body of water you can find!!! there is no glow plug in it to even take out before you throw it so less weight equals more distance but you can watch it sink a little slower and laugh your butt off. Get to your nearest LHS and buy a new engine because you are going to love this thing!!!

Rican25, I assume you're talking about the Hyper's RTR engine. Because the 8ight's Mach 427 IMO is a great RTR engine.

I was in the same situation. Looking the both pro series kits. I chose the Hyper ST Kit and haven't regreted it yet. Plus, EVERYBODY here runs a LOSI Eight Truggy. I wanted to be different as everybody at my local track run an Eight. I am by no means saying the eight kit is bad, just my preference. Plus I could of gotten the Losi Eight kit for 425. I took the Hyper for 399.

the losi may be easier to find parts for, but he hyper you won't break anything anyways. you won't use the dx2 forever if you race so thats gonna go anyways and an rtr engine only lasts about 4 gallons or so before you get something else anyways. either they are both good. the hyper can turn inside the losi though, thats for sure.

J blaze, just curious as to why you think the dx2 will go away when he races. I use my DX2.0 when I race and it works more then sufficently.

oh yeah sorry if I wasnt clear, the Hypers Mac-Star .28 is a piece of garbage I am thinking of cleaning mine up and using it as a paper weight on my desk!! other than that its completely useless unless you run in the dead of winter in alaska!! and then it may even add to the global warming trends with the temps it likes to run!!

Lets not rip on J Blaze as I have seen some of his responses on the Hyper ST pro thread and he is a good contributor to the forum. I don't have to agree with everything he says, but he is entitled to his opinion like everybody else. I am just curious why he has that opinion. Does he know something or have an experience that would help me understand his opinion.

Hyper, if RTR, the engine would have to be replaced.

If Pro, absoloutely flawless.

IMO There are too many 8ight T's running around, it would'nt hurt to be a lil' bit differient. THe Hyper is a crazy handling machine..

And what j blaze said.

CNC machined front knuckles, both shock towers, complete front upper steering plate and suspension mounts, front and rear chassis braces and center chassis brace, carbon fiber servo tray and center diff plate, front and rear hinge pin holders and I think but not sure all of the driveshafts and axles which are cvd's on the Pro.

Slayerphonics is right on the mark.

Well um as to your question.

Gimme 5 mins, jump onto the Hyper ST pro thread

For the time being, what a Hyper ST is like.

P.S. Was just testing out my tuning in this vid, I think I got it right

ST's
Ive driven both, and worked on both.

I feel that the Hyper handles better, it pulls U turns at WOT...

The 8ight T is THE BEST RTR. Yes I agree with that.

But BOTH TRUCKS are far from the best truck.

8ight T - More Expensive and Common
Hyper ST - Cheaper and Rarer

My dad run an 8T, and me a Hyper, I like both the trucks, am I biased, yes.

Dont take my word then.

If it goes that way, is'nt everyone biased towards their truck.

Integra, instead of passing comments, address the situation.

thats Great qaiz...ur entitled to ur oppinion...but ive never seen a vid from your track never the less u racing against any 1....so i dont exactly know who or what ur comparing against....ur dad and urself..well thats great n all...but u say its a RTR...Big difference between a RTR and A Properly set-up Roller....so things can go either way....and its great that u express ur oppinion....like me i dont take Stink from No 1.
