a go 5port turbo is a much faster mill than either the sts junk or the good but not great rbs5 with a posh head,my mate replaced his ws7/3 for a 5port turbo.the rb might outlast it though

$229 for an S5 or $209 for a Go 5 port, its was not a tough decision. i got my sts's for $124ea, modded them, and ran them 5 race gallons before the crankshafts cracked. so basically 10 gallons of racing for $248, they still have excellent pinch and will be running again this weekend with new cranks. i'm not putting the go motors down at all, just for me it was worth the extra $20 to get the proven italian motor over another unproven asian one. if i get 5 gallons out of the rb's then i'll know for sure the best bang for buck motors, i may try the go's next, 3 or 5 port.

Lots of low end in the 3 port sport. run it with a 086 pipe or a pipe that smooths out the bottom end.

From what I am hearing about these Go motors I would say a big step up. I just made a order for 6 motors from Go Tech and will be putting a .21 7 port in my ZX1-R to test it out.

RE: Go Technology .21 5 Port Race Engine (Standard Plug)
The Go Tech engines are very good mills. When di you have your engines. Initially Go Tech had problems with their carbs but that has beeb corrected. Every new company has a few bugs to work out with their products and they seem to have done that by replacing the old problematic carbs with the new updated carbs for free.
RB makes very good engines but some of us can't spend the $400-$600 for a name brand engine. I will stick with my $180 Go Tech. They have proven to be very relibale and powerful engines plus their customer service is top notch here in the States.
Anybody who is considering getting a Go Tech engine should certainly give one a try. I think they will be very happy with their performance.

That's the same thing as the Picco .28 P3. Everyone says how good they and have awesome power and I hated mine! Awesome power=YES, but could not get it tuned for nothing. I sealed everything on that motor and tried different carb and still pissing me off. Now after about 20 tanks its for sale with a new extra piston and sleeve for $130. Never buy one again.[]

RE: Go Technology .21 5 Port Race Engine (Standard Plug)
To err is human and unless RB employees are all robots they can make mistakes as well. Most of the saved cost is from where the Go tech motors are produced. Im sure if Go Tech moved all thier manufacturing to italy the price would probably be around $300 for one. Now I havent had a single problem with mine and break in was simple.
And just because you say you have 25 years of experience doesnt mean you know what your doing I work with a guy who has 30 years of experience in my field and hes a complete moron.
So RChertz why dont you quit spamming in here this is a Go tech thread not a which engine should I get thread.

i don't want to put down the go's at all, i'll probably have a 5 port or 3 port r-spec soon, but for the money i would just rather spend just a little bit more and get an rb over a go. the nova rossi 3 port is very good so far too and its only $160. i like to tinker with pipes and do some modding with them just to see how it goes, its half the fun since i can't finish a race anyways.
