Default New 8ight-T Setup

Hey all, I have a new 8ight-T that i'm picking up tomorrow. I am new to the truggy class, but I am wondering what all should be done before to attempt to run this (not including break-in lol)

I've heard that the throttle linkage needs adjustment and such. I'm just looking for a basic idea of things I want to look for before I use her.

i was in your postion 3 weeks ago and all you need to get if you are racing and the one u got is the rtr you might want to invest in the upgrade shock towers and some cvd condoms or some 1/2" shrink wrap

here is the link for the cvd condoms

Awesome. I really should get those cvd condoms for my MGT 8 as well. The pin keeps coming out in one of cvd's and tearing up my metal chassis. Still amazed in the power of the 8.0.

But, is there anything else that I should be on the lookout for?

Looks like you've been in the mud Rebel. Very nice though.

What would the advantage of the stiffener be? Sorry i'm a newb to racing.

using the tray stiffener wont affect the servo's....If anything its a bonus...as it keeps the servo's Up and off the chassy...and of corse adds alot of rigidity to the tray....for 15$...its well worth it.....i run em both on Bug and trug.

RTR. I just broke it in today with the traxxas method. Boy this thing screammmsss

I heard that the dx2.0 has a built in fail-safe. I didn't see anything mentioned in the spektrum booklet. Anyone able to tell me? Or tell me how to set it if it is indeed there.

You are going to have to set up the servos EPAs (END POINT ADJUSTMENTS) If you dont then you will burn up servos in the truggy.. Throttle and steering.. If you got the rtr then you have a nice raido and you can do this on the spec. If i were you I would save up and get some nice servos for the Truggy..there are alot out there do some research and upgrade...Also you need to make some captured ball ends for the steering arms as thay tend to come off after a few hours of run time on the track..After that Ive had no trouble from the truggy and love it..Welcome to TEAM LOSI

it saves alot of weight from using house transponders and you dont have to look for them
