The body is supposed to be stronger(from what i've read) I use ace ds1015's for both throttle and steering and haven't had any issue's with them. I also use a dx3r radio with a 3100 receiver

Take your time building it.! And DO NOT forget to shim the diffs correctely.!
Also, dont forget to screw the rear skid plate on when your attaching the rear end of the car on.!
I found the squeak.! It was the insane clutch shims im using. Got around 7 - 10mm in just shims LOL. Nothing to worry about.!

some wip pics :
Things are beefy & nice except for the diffs. I like the Thunder Tiger ones better. Changed all the internal gears to the hardened type. The HB or sacker ones fit.

Joe Ling

Nice pics.
Noticed you used the washers on the steering plate, I gave up with them a long time ago. IMO They dont add anything.
Just used silver nuts with the screws straight on.
Just a question. Why'd you change the diff gears.? The Jammin ones work fine. The diffs in my Buggy havent been looked at for probably 7 - 8 gallons, and its still going strong..

RE: X2 Build Up W/ Pics, 56K Warning, Complete Build Info W/ Detailed Pics
Hi gaiz,
My experience stems from the X1 buggy. When I took the diff apart for a fluid change, I noticed that among other things, the slurry contain silvery particles in suspension. I can only assume that the particles are from the spider gears. So, I changed the gears to hardened ones. On a separate incident, I managed to strip the spider gears on the center diff on my sacker buggy that has been converted to BL electric. Again, the gears look very similar to the silvery ones that the X2 has. So, as a precaution, I just changed everything to hardened gears. Not a very expensive exercise anyway.

Joe Ling

Nice X2's guys.
J24, dump that OS 28 in there, and we'd have identical X2's .
I didnt know they posted Tylor James's setup. Gotta go check that out.!
Just some random pics of it.
I love these lil' fuel line clamps im using.!
Lost a body clip from the fuel tank
Body and wings' taken a beating
Engines still going strong.!
