whichever suits your needs best. unless you state the conditions you are running the truck in its difficult to say what is best for you.

There is a Caster K8T Kit, yes, but Vnm was refering to the RTR Caster K8T.
Having the TTR ST-1 I'd take that one off the list, it's getting a little long in the tooth and bound for a new version before too long...else it's only going to be aging even more in it's design. It's Tough...and built like a Tank, that's true...but you can get 'tough' with a lot better performance for the money your spending. Of course if your just bashin' around with it that'll probably be fine, but it only took me a few months to buy a different truggy, money I coulda saved if I'da skipped the TTR all together. No harm no foul tho, it's gone on monday anyway as I've sold it to help fund the Top Flite P47 I'm building.
I almost bought the GS myself before I bought my Caster Pro Kit, the only thing I really didn't like about the GS were the conventional phillips head fastners, call me shallow but I prefer Hex head, my meaty paws are less likely to strip them. GS are much more common on the asian continent, you just don't see a lot of them over here.

btw, the Monsoon and Battalion are the same truck except the Monsoon has a larger engine, Redcat imports the Battalion with a different engine (an SH .28 I think, the Battalion has a .21). Redcat just puts a different paint scheme on it and some Redcat stickers. If Redcat still uses that funky clutch bell keep in mind a standard clutch bell wont work...it won't reach the spur gear...Redcat uses some funky extended almost proprietary thing, so if you shred one due to a loose engine you can't go to the Local Hobby Shop and pick up a new clutch bell, You'll have to order it from Redcat, Unless you want to drill new engine mount holes in the chassis to move the engine forward, but you'd have to move the exhaust too..and anything else in the way. Thats a lot of new holes to drill...matter of fact, scratch the Redcat/Battalion from that list too lol.

If you're looking for a great basher and NO racing, you can get a RTR for $279 + $60 back in goodies! I know it's "only" a Raze ST but I've had nothing but great luck with my Raze buggies. Check it out: http://www.towerhobbies.com/products...ax/dtxd77.html

The st-1 is a tank and when set up properly is decent on the track. You would have to order parts probably but as would you with the others mentioned. See what your LHS has parts for. I would rather support my LHS then have to order and pay shipping all the time. I'm lucky as the LHS is actually cheaper then ordering online here.

Vnmsgt is the only person I personally know that had a Monsoon so he'd be a good one to ask (he doesn't have it anymore however). As far as Toughness, when I was breaking in the LRP on my Caster my Rx batt. went flat and it went wide open throttle across the backyard at about 45mph (setting up your failsafe ftw, I however am a gimp and hadn't), under the kids trampoline, hit the aluminum leg running along the ground and did about 4 somersaults before it landed on it's back. Didn't break a single thing except a little of my dignity.

well i dont like the rims on the caster because there not a solid rim it is spoked and i would have to straight up put proline rims and chrimefighter tires on it and also i like the xut it looks awsome when it is driven and it looks like it is a strong truggy but i was just wonder ing if that truggy would keep up with any 1/8 fast 600$ truggys

First thing I did was put pro line's on mine. As far as it keeping up with a 600 dollar truggy... in stock RTR form there aren't a lot that will out of the box. RTR doesn't ever mean Ready To Race. Most RTR's are going to have average or marginally operable servo's and radio's. RTR Engines will in no way keep up with a $300+ italian race mill. You'll get out of it what you put into it.
The only RTR that would ever come close to RTRace is the 8ight-T....and it's a 600 dollar truggy.

I looked at the Himoto earlier when it was linked. I saw it used the same funky clutch bell as the Monsoon. Make your life easy and look at the two Oasis recommended.
