Linkage set correctly? Take the filter off and make sure there's just a little gap there of about 1mm?? Turn radio and truck on and give gas and brake and see how the gap looks.

Same exact thing happend to one of my buddy's motors yesterday. If the idle gap is fine, I'd pull the motor and seal it...possible air leak somewhere. (most likely carb neck or backplate...in my friends case it was the carb neck) Also check for any tears in your fuel line. This is the sealer that I've been recommended... [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=lucky+7]Lucky 7 engine sealant[/link]it applies very cleanly but you can also go to your auto parts store and use copper rtv.

RTV Copper iS NOT fuel proof...and will only mask the air leak temporarily.

I have cracked thermo insullation on my os28 carb. I seal it with copper rtv, lasts for a short amount of hard core run time and needs sealing again, every time. So i agree with the above.

buy some proper sealant and you can forget about re-sealing every couple weeks or so.
