RE: What the differnece between Inferno STs
- New engine
- 150cc fuel tank (not 125cc, like on old model)
- Standard engine mounts (not part of crankcase)
- 17mm alloy hubs (not 14mm, with 19mm adapters)
- Higher torque steering servo
there are possibly other changes, but without researching it further, I'm not sure
IMO the US sport 2 is a definate improvement over the original, and will be a quite competent basher, or budget club racer. I'm not sure if kyosho have added the additional gears inside the diffs to bring it up to standard, but is still an easy fix when tuning the diffs with silicone fluid anyway.

From what I have seen it's very close to the ST-R..and quite a bit better than the original us sports..On the euro tracks it would probably work really good, On the tighter, smaller jump tracks their really is no need for the big bore shocks. You could pick up a pair of the older ST-R shocks used for cheap also..another idea..as the ST-RR is getting less popular the prices for a good used one is dropping also.

RE: What the differnece between Inferno STs
would it be cheaper and worth buying a second hand ST-R roller and later upgrading it to a ST-RR??
Can a US Sports ready be made into a ST-RR?? the us sports 2 actually. Just released which is always a good idea buying top notch :P

RE: What the differnece between Inferno STs
I have had the original US-ST for a year now. Very good club racer. The only thing i ever broke or bent was a dog bone. That to when i hit a side plastic pipe head on. Chassis & shock towere still pulling strong. Ya one more thing. The rear centre chassis brace ball catch would pop out ocassionally on a hard landing. But its good in a way. You rather have this then get your chassis bent.
The only thing i have upgraded is the vlutch for my OS 30 VG & now Jammin Big Bore shocks.( Not that is necessary) I had the shock plastic shocks with the heavy oil & the optional white hard springs which could manage a 2 feet jump.
Great value for the prise. Having the latest tricked out truggy will not gurantee a race win.
