Default is this an ok price?

I'm looking at getting a LOSI 8IGHT-T the first generation and I know a guy who wants 275 for it. Its just a roller but is in good shape, is this a ok price? Also am i right saying that alot of the new parts for the 2nd gen will work on the 1st gen? I'm not really family with these trucks, I have been racing my baja 5b for the last year but i'm moving and the local track races where alot of guys run truggy's and I'm a fan of losi anyway.

So deal or no deal and any quick tips on this truck would be great!

Thanks guys

Not that great of a deal. You can buy a brand new first gen 8T for $300 online. Maybe if it had all the bells/whistles and VERY low time on it AND came with some extra wheels/tires it might be a decent deal.

Prices were that low a few weeks ago, but I think they are all gone. I dont know of any shops that still have the original 8ight-t in stock.

The first gen models are sold out EVERYWHERE (in the States anyway). I was only able to find 'em at www.thebarnfloor.com and they have 'em listed at $475...

You can get em for less than that off ebay, but that's a gamble.
