Anyone having trouble getting the MBX6T to turn sharp enough? It seems mine don't turn in as good as I would like when off power. I have tried adding more caster and softening up the front shocks (pre-load and shock oil). Does anyone have any tips on getting it to turn a little better? Running 7-10-3 in the diffs. It does OK but I'd just like to have a little more.

already have full rear droop. Should I add more castor or less? I was thinking adding more would help, but I heard otherwise and started questioning myself.

Less caster should give you more steering, but it will make it more twitchy on the straights. Softer springs up from would help and maybe try going to 5K in the front diff to allow that inside tire to spin a little more free...

If you want a little more you can use your dremel and remove some material at the ends of the sockets on your up rights. you may depending on how much you remove may need to work the lower arm as well so the steering arm does not hit. Have done this on my truggies for a while now and have almost as much travel as a c-hub design. I have not had any issues with the balls popping out of the sockets what so ever.

I lookad at doing that, but wondered about the pivot ball coming out. I might try that now that I know you haven't had any trouble. Thanks.

i dont feel there's any reason to mod the pillow's for more steering....if your lacking steering its in your set-up NOT the truck itself.

If it's pushing really bad in the turns, I would experiment with tires first. Tires have the biggest impact on handling. After all, they are what connects the entire truck to the ground.

Here's Team X-Ray's Setup Book. It refers to their cars of course, but the principals are universal.

I dont lack steering just wanted more. I get enough grip in the corners to flip on my side. Hogging out the pillow blocks gave me the extra I needed to run on 1/10 scale tracks with cutbacksthat were hosting 1/8th events. The 6T is supposed to have more and better steering than the 5T but if there is room to eek out a little bit more I will generally do it. I do agree that before this step is taken you should get your setup where you want it and if you need more then by all means do it within reason.
