I have an ofna X2 and I saw that theres a diff called a smart diff. They are pricie ($110) for one. I didnt know if they were worth them money and if they even made it handle any better. thanks guys.

If you're just bashing, you'd be throwing your money away for sure. It's not really even worth it for the average club racer. I can think of alot better things to spend 100 bucks on. Like tires...

i know alot of people that have bought one and hated it, and only used it once. i do not see them being worth 100 bucks at all, if i was you i would spend that money on something more useful like tires or spare parts. just my opinion.

They're just fine-tuning tool. It's supposed to lock up completely under hard acceleration splitting the power 50/50 between the front and rear wheels and should help acceleration out of a turn while still allowing regular differential action when going through the corner...

True. I dont even know how many pros are running them. I looked at some of the pros set ups (older ones) but they still where not using them. maybe they are not so great.

smart diffs are for racers only, If your a basher then I would just lock it up. I have had a bunch of buggies and I hated the way the center diff reacted .hard on the gas the front wheels break out and rear whelels catch up, thats why buggierarely wheelie.

it just seems like something else to go wrong, to many moving parts IMO!

Dont knock it till you tried it....SD's work Flawlessly and they have their ideal condition to be ran under.
Smart diffs are for the Losi Line up ONLY...there are other LSD style diffs out there for other brands...but that aren't made by losi but rather Fioroni and or Hobao/Ofna
