I'm just getting back into the R/C car/truck thing after several decades of being away. I have purchased a Spektrum DX3S transmitter by itself for some of my other models that I have and was wondering if I purchased a used LOSI Ten-T without the included DX3S will the transmitter that I purchased separately activate the on-board starter? I'm assuming that it will but wasn't sure if the DX3S that comes with the Ten-T was not a stock version. I'm sure this is a silly questions but I can't find the answer any where else.

The DX3S you get with the Ten-T is no different than the one you can buy separately, so it will work just fine.
